Here's a note Jake wrote to the group after we got back from Austin:
Fantastic! The concert was fabulous! I didn't know what to expect--and I was right on target, 'cause I'm not sure what I got. But it was fantabulous. anyway. Wow! Wow-wow!!
When I finally recovered from the opening salvo, the band was probably 4 or 5 songs into the program. It was somewhat confusing, since each member of the band was playing a different tune--at the same time! Anyway, I finally realized that this format would allow each member of the group to play their 30 favorite songs in a two-hour program for a total of 300 songs presented to the stunned audience. The audience would have the rest of their lives to process this music. Just think--at 3:32 AM, August 17, 2022, someone might wake-up with a wonderful melody floating around in their head. It would be a hybrid--a cross between a violin and a tenor sax. Wow. Wow. Wow.
Anyway, it was so fantastic that I was in shock. I even missed the finale. I'm sure it must have been over-the-top (everybody playing the same song in the same key to the same beat--maybe, "When The Saints Go Marching In"?). When Carol finally got me awake--the cops and the abulances had all gone. All the chairs had been folded, and the mopping was almost complete. Wow!
It was great to see the I.C.P. group again; a great group of people and extremely skilled musicians. I do have a suggestion, however--What about a name change? Perhaps H.A.M.I. would work? It would stand for: HEARING-AID MELTERS, INC. Would that not work? If not, I have several more. Just depend on me--I'll cover for you. Anyway, in my extended stay on this dumb planet, I have had occassion to come across some super musicians--from Vienna to Branson, from Grand Opera to Grand Ole Opry; but none better than ICP (or the HAMI crew). Thanks guys, for being great.

At this point I will be happy if I just get to 52 photos, period! Seem to be so busy with other stuff. I've been looking at other people's work so much that it's time to do some stuff for myself. Look forward to taking some more photos to complete this project.

Godiva is a 33 feet high puppet which is travelling from Coventry to London as part of the Cultural Olympiad. When she arrived in Northampton she was presented with a bespoke pair of riding boots made by a local manufacturer - size 72! Unfortunately she was wearing a long skirt, which meant that we could only see a small part of them.
After receiving the boots on the Market Square she made her way around the town centre preceded by a motley crew made up of the Mayor,and some Councillors, corset wearing Morris Dancers, Belly Dancers, the 'Ministry of Cycles', and 'Wicker Maidens' - who I assume were the yong ladies bearing flowers.
