Happy Thanksgiving!
Vermilion Lakes are a series of lakes located immediately west of Banff, Alberta, in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.
"I like spring, but it is too young. I like summer, but it is too proud. So I like best of all autumn, because its tone is mellower, its colours are richer, and it is tinged with a little sorrow. Its golden richness speaks not of the innocence of spring, nor the power of summer, but of the mellowness and kindly wisdom of approaching age. It knows the limitations of life and its content."

The Estós Valley (in Benasquese Aragonese, Vall d'Estós or Ball d'Estós) is a Pyrenean valley located in the Aragonese region of La Ribagorza.
It lies in the northwestern part of the Benasque Valley (northeast of the province of Huesca) and within the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park. To the north of this valley, which is of glacial origin, is the Perdiguero massif (3,221 m), and to the south, the Posets massif (3,375 m). This valley, oriented from west to east, is approximately 12 km long, and the Estós River, a tributary of the Ésera River, flows through its bottom. Clarabides, GÃas, and Oô are peaks that also exceed 3,000 m and form the border with France. The valley's altitude ranges from 1,400 m to 3,375 m.
Since 1994, it has been part of the Posets-Maladeta Natural Park due to its significant ecological value. The predominant landscape is that of the high Pyrenees, with a good representation of the alpine, subalpine, and montane climate zones. The predominant flora consists of mountain pastures and forests, including conifers (black pine and fir), deciduous trees (beech, aspen, birch, willow, maple, and hazel), and, as main shrubs, boxwood, juniper, and rhododendron. Several Pyrenean endemic species are also found. As for the fauna, all the animals present in the high Pyrenean mountain ecosystems are found here, with a significant population of Pyrenean chamois and roe deer, and the most representative birds being the capercaillie, the ptarmigan, and the bearded vulture.
The Estós River, fed by numerous ravines and streams originating from the many glacial lakes (ibones), the permanent snowfields, and some of the southernmost glaciers in Europe, flows through the valley floor.
The valley is a popular tourist destination for mountain hikers, climbers, ski mountaineers, and alpinists. Trout fishing and big game hunting (chamois, roe deer, and wild boar) are also popular. In the summer, its slopes serve as grazing land for a large herd of cattle.
Access to the valley is primarily on foot via a network of well-marked trails, although there is a forest track restricted to authorized vehicles. Along the way, you'll find numerous shepherd's huts and a staffed mountain refuge (1,895 m) managed by a warden from the Aragonese Mountain Federation.

Happy weekend :-)
This is my second image of the Terschelling coastline. This is the first shot where I used a ND8 filter reducing f-stops with 3. In addition I used a polarising filter. Must say that I'm quite happy with the effect. The only difficulty with larger lenses has been the autofocus, which turned to be off in some occasions. Not with the 24-70mm lens I used here happily. Have a nice Monday and please feel free to comment on technicals, still learning
The lakes of Covadonga are two small lakes, Enol and Ercina, of glacial origin located in the Asturian part of the Picos de Europa national park, in the western massif of said mountain chain. There is a third lake, Bricial, which only has water during the thaw, but also belongs to the group
They are located in the municipality of Cangas de OnÃs and are accessed through a 14.5 km road that begins in the Royal Site of Covadonga to first reach Lake Enol, also including a small road that would take them to Lake Ercina. Its frequent use since 1983 as the end of the stage in the Cycling Tour of Spain has made the place internationally popular.
The massive influx of tourists, especially cycling fans, has forced the development of cycling events in the Los Lagos area to be limited. However, the area has a tourist infrastructure.
The excessive influx of visitors, especially in high season, has also meant that access by car to the Lakes is restricted, with access only possible using public transport enabled for this purpose. Private vehicles cannot circulate on the access road to Los Lagos for 6 months a year, during high season. In low season, there are no access restrictions with a private vehicle.
In the vicinity of Lake Ercina, in Buferrera, iron, manganese and mercury mines were exploited until 1979. People who visit this area have at their disposal a parking lot "Buferrera parking", a visitor center, a shelter and two restaurant bars for their enjoyment.
