Recently, 28 Korean Augmentation to the United States Army or KATUSAs celebrated an end to their 2 years of military service during an ETS ceremony here at the post theater.
Their KATUSA service began Sept. 22, 2007 when they entered the Republic of Korea Army and completed the KATUSA Training Academy as KTA Class of 07-10.
Many KATUSAs around Area III, along with the U.S. and ROK Army Officers and NCOs, attended the ceremony showing appreciation for their exemplary work ethics and efforts, and to congratulate them on their departure from the Army and their journey back to society.

HUMPHREYS GARRISON – An Expiration of Term of Service, or ETS, ceremony for 19 Korean Augmentation to the U.S. Army Soldiers, was held in the Post Theater Aug. 17.
The 19 KATUSA Soldiers joined the Republic of Korea Army April 21, 2008 and completed their training as Class 08-10 at the Korea Army Training Center, at Nonsan, and also the KATUSA Training Academy at Camp Jackson.
After having successfully and dutifully completed their two-year duty of military service, the ETS Ceremony is where fellow KATUSAs, ROK and U.S. Army officers and noncommissioned officers come together to recognize and appreciate what they have done for their country.
The ETS ceremony is a day that KATUSAs congratulate a fellow Soldier, who is leaving the Army, while looking forward to the day they stand in that exact spot.
