Inspired by the new movie Alien: Covenant I built this small display to show my latest Kitbashes – and of course my first Neomorph-design. I loved the little white devils in this cornfield attack and would assess them even more scary than the oroginal Xenomorph because of their speed and nimbleness.
1:15 A.M. I decided to document a real chocopie attack. You will note the lack of a glass. No one in their right mind goes to the trouble of pouring milk into a glass at one in the morning! You might note the size of the bite. This was not done politely but half-asleep and with a burning hunger for chocolate.
Chocopies are universally loved throughout the Korean Peninsula and beyond. It would not be going too far to say that these are greatly valued in North Korea (who gets them illegally) and in Russia. They are actually traded for things in North Korea. The Russian port of Vladivostok is awash in Chocopies as they are a favorite with Russian sailors.
Compliments to the Orion Company for this delectible treat!
All thanks and credit for this idea go to Mr. Bob Delaney of Flickr fame who suggested it.

I wanted to try something different yesterday and a friend suggested Chester Zoo. This is a weaver bird coming under attack whilst trying to construct it's nest.

Nothing seemed to ruffled the Great Gray Owls feathers until this unhappy Gray Jay started attacking him. The jay ended up winning and the owl moved on.

This poor bee was being attacked by a wasp, which was trying hard to sting her, while she did her best to escape.
Well, couldn't have that eh? So I stepped in, flicked the wasp (no, I didn't damage it!) and after 30 seconds or so, the bee rallied and fell off the bench into greenery below … what a clever bee eh?
Two young White -tailed Kites after each other in mid-air. This seems to be a common behavior among these young birds to dance through the air together. Not entirely sure if this behavior is playful, or is in fact a dispute of territory. Given their age, I'd guess it's playful.
St. Nicholas of Potsdam Church (German for St. Nikolaikirche) is a Lutheran church erected on the Old Market Square (Alter Markt) in Potsdam. The central floor building in the classicist style dedicated to Saint Nicholas was built according to the plans of Karl Friedrich Schinkel in the years 1830 to 1837. The 77 meter high church drum that dominates the roofs of the city was built later , from 1843 to 1850. Its construction was taken over by Ludwig Persius and, from 1845, by Friedrich August Stüler. It is one of the few remaining works of Schinkel.
Towards the end of World War II, the church was attacked during the airstrike in Potsdam and was subsequently severely damaged by Soviet artillery fire. After many years of reconstruction, the church was re-consecrated in 1981 by St. Nicholas Evangelical Parish, Potsdam, and today it is open to visitors. In addition to the normal church services, concert events also take place in the church.

These are a few shots of the Tri-colored Heron that I posted earlier posing all straight and tall! He/she is also capable of launching off of that old dead tree in the water at any angle! Photos taken on Horsepen Bayou!
I want to add that even though I am posting three different views of this particular bird in action, I in no way expect people to comment on every photo! In the past I left the comments on for only one shot, but some complained that they wanted to comment on the other scenes! Just take you pick and enjoy the mastery of this balancing act!

Some days ago i went back to the black grouse lek to enjoy their fightings. Another sunrise spent watching this amazing animals perform their mating calls, mating with females (some picture will come soon) and a lot of fighting. In this image the start of one of these fights that, usually, last few seconds. The animals usually peck each other and hit each other with the wings to try conquering a female with whom to mate.
