Our company has sponsored a guide dog puppy. I thought I might share some images of our little girl labrador Shiba who might go onto care for a lucky owner in the future. The older labrador is Sunshine, a bit of a mentor for the puppies.

An assistant who makes the work easier and more productive is valuable, especially when it comes to research assistance. The PhD thesis assistance provided through tools like Goto meeting, which enable virtual classrooms and free interaction between the teacher and the taught, proves to be a boon for research scholars.

Council continues to support our Financial Assistance Program because it directly benefits local community groups who would not normally qualify for any government assistance.
This year we are distributed $84,689 across 78 projects throughout our community.
Projects range from recreational activities, painting classes, theatre productions and dance and music therapy, to cultural and teaching children environmentally sustainable practices, mental health support groups, support for people with disabilities, and arts programs.
The projects reflect the diversity of community life in our City and support a wide range of issues of concern to Council and our residents.
They are also a sign that as a community, we are working together to ensure that for many people our City of Canterbury is truly a great place to live and work.

Members of the Virginia Defense Force conduct training on incident management assistance capabilities July 18, 2020, in Richmond, Virginia. VDF personnel volunteered their time to train on the employment of the Tactical Communications Package, or TacPak, and the WebEOC information sharing and requesting system used by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. The TacPak is a portable system providing wireless internet access, cellular phone, satellite voice and data and video conferencing capabilities. VDF personnel use the TacPaks and WebEOC when augmenting Virginia National Guard units during response operations to assist with tracking vital information like operational updates, personnel status, logistics requirements and mission metrics. The Virginia Defense Force is authorized by the Code of the Virginia as the all-volunteer reserve of the Virginia National Guard and serves as a force multiplier integrated into all Guard domestic operations. Mansion House, Dublin - April 1st 2009:
The event was to mark the 15th anniversary of the setting up of the Irish Tourist Assistance Service (ITAS) or Tourist Victim Support as it was then known; and was also attended by Guido Nasi. Guido was just 17 years old and on holidays in Dublin from his native Italy when he was left paralysed after being hit over the head with a bottle 10 years ago in Fairview Park. He is now confined to a wheelchair and cannot speak, instead using a keyboard to communicate.
Instead of presents for his birthday he raised $450.00 for the Pacific Assistance Dogs (PADS). This is a non-profit organization that raises and trains assistance dogs for people who are physically disabled or who are deaf or hard of hearing. If you want to learn more please go to www.pads.ca/
This is his thank you card he emailed to all that helped.
