this baby elephant was really struggling to get out of the river and kept sliding down the slippery bank, we were all holding our breath watching this while the adults were pushing and trying to help, eventually after a good 15 minutes of struggling it managed to clamber out of the water...a huge relief to see it run to its mother
I sometimes like to grab my toys and go play in the yard. It helps me to feel young again. Or maybe I sort of stayed like a kid at heart.

After air problems happened at the top of the hill the dispatcher ordered the helper set to stay on the rear down to Bozeman to help keep control of the loaded grainer!

After a long hot summer, during which Scooter needed much assistance with shedding, he has grown in most of his new coat. Looks rather handsome, I think. I suspect he does too. The pose is the Scooter staring a a bird in the adjoining tree, even if there is none in the tree. That's my boy!

No. 6726 leads VIA train 133 around the well-camouflaged Gohler connecting track from the Deux-Montagnes electrified line to the St-Laurent sub. The motor will cut off here, and the FPA4 diesel will continue north to Chicoutimi with its consist.
One pleasant evening recently saw me giving a pole demonstration to highlight the advantages of aerial photography to a fellow enthusiast. The location was the urban sprawl and former Bronze Age village of Longforth Farm in Wellington, and the target for the evening was the daily 2C87 18.00 Cardiff Central-Penzance GWR 'Castle' hauled service. On the evening of 19 July, the service was in the hands of 43097 "Castle Drogo" and 43009 Nunney Castle", sandwiching set GW16.

Originally the pairing would run light to Junee, however with the layover of the train at Yass for ST23 resulted in the diesels attaching to the rear.

VIA train 43 with FPA4 No. 6775 in the lead has just run down from Smiths Falls, arriving in Brockville ON in this 27 June 1981 scene. What appears to be a puller engine, CN SW1200RS No. 1306 is just sharing the branch line to clear the main, so the arriving power from the Montreal section can cross over to the station siding. Then the switcher will clear out and 6775 will pull out onto the mainline to lead the combined consist to Toronto. In this briefly executed move, two Canadian-only variations of popular locomotive models pair up in an unusual combination.
An Eastbound UP tank train passes by the Oak Park green line Subway station, in Oak Park outside Chicago. Leading is UP’s Employee Assistance Program unit, which caught me off guard completely until I saw the stickers on the side.

4807 sits at the city end of the loop line shuttle at Thirlmere before departing for Buxton with 3001 in the lead.
With trackwork taking place at Buxton, the points are still out of use requiring a locomotive at each end.

Jixi Mining Bureau's 'SY' 2-8-2 No.1446 has come to the rescue of sister 'SY' 0950 to shift its wagons on the icy tracks out of the Didao landsale yard during the morning of 4th January 2010 as workers make their way on and off shift.
