Playing with depth and range certainly becomes a challenge under water. These were my attempts of playing with my underwater camera practicing field of focus with different zooms lengths.

This was my just playing around with a close up zoom in, but not with a macro lens. The frosted effect actually was on the housing lens do to the cold water temps and the camera not having accumulated yet.
