It is the fourth largest building in the world by volume. The building is at Launch Complex 39 at KSC. It is also the largest single-story building in the world. The VAB was originally built to allow for the vertical assembly of the Saturn V rocket for the Apollo program. It is now used for housing Space Shuttle external fuel tanks and flight hardware, and is the location of space shuttle orbiter mating (stacking) with the solid rocket boosters and external fuel tank, that combined makes up the complete Space Transportation System, called the Space Shuttle for short. Once assembled, the Space Transportation System is moved on the Mobile Launcher Platform and Crawler-Transporter to LC-39 Pad A.
Top assembly is one I re-made with a Bill at Saabits kit - no idea why I opted to make it longer.
Bottom assembly is a spare Saab OEM one as removed from a parts car.
The new Honeywell 4AV-19F sensor element in the middle is what I'll be using to re-make the top-assembly. Instead of Volvo-style bullet connectors I'm replacing the CPS connections with 3-pin Deutsch ones.

The Bath Assembly Rooms, built 1769-71, designed by John Wood, the Younger (1728-82).
Opened by subscription on 30 September 1771 to serve the fast-expanding upper town, this 'large and noble block' (Pevsner) became the heart of polite Bath society: see the description in Dickens's 'The Pickwick Papers' (1836). One of the most magnificent of all Georgian civic buildings, it entered use as a lecture and concert hall (in which Liszt performed) in the 19th century before becoming a cinema and market in the 20th. The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB), through the munificence of Ernest Cook, bought the building in 1931. It was lavishly restored under the eye of Mowbray Green, the Bath architect, and re-opened in October 1938. Severe bomb damage in April 1942 affected the interior, and the ballroom in particular, leaving the building a gutted shell: this was Bath's most severe architectural casualty of the war. A second full restoration was undertaken in the early 1960s under the direction of Sir Albert Richardson, assisted by E.A.S. Houfe; Oliver Messel advised on the decorative schemes. The Assembly Rooms were re-opened in May 1963. The complex now includes the Museum of Costume, housed in the basement (work undertaken in 1978-79).
A notable Palladian public entertainment building, showing the adaptation of the Woods' domestic architectural vocabulary for public use on a scale of Roman magnificence. It is also a triumph of restoration.

From Assembly website: At a special press conference, the Rev. Dr Ishmael Noko, LWF general secretary, released a letter that he had just faxed to the Hon. Denis Coderre, minister for citizenship and immigration in the Canadian government, requesting answers why 51 individuals had been denied visas to enter Canada to attend the Assembly..

Specifically, Noko asked Coderre to respond to allegations, reported in the press as supposedly stemming from â"federal sources", that the individuals denied visas include âalleged murderers, embezzlers of church funds and other criminalsâ. Noko wrote, âI ask you urgently to inform me if these reported allegations are indeed emanating from Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and if they correctly represent the position of your Ministryâ.
