Staff promptly got up, came out, and yelled at me for taking photos inside. I was escorted out of the building. Knowing this I planned on taking this photo while I was leaving anyways :p
Unfortunately the inside of the main assembly hall itself had been partially ruined by a lighting/ventilation structure added that blocked natural light from coming in.

CSX local freight crosses Assembly Street in Columbia, SC.
This is a shot I had thought about for a while. The trick is to 1.) catch it with good l;ight. The local has no set time. Somedays it could run late in the evening, middle of the afternoon or, like today, around 8 a.m. 2.) Hopefully get it before the traffic light behind me turns green.
Well, one out of two on that.
I knew there would be cars in front of the train. I figured the train would stop enough traffic coming toward me to where that would not be a problem. If the light behind me had stayed red, then I guessed the cars that could turn right on the road that crosses behind me would stay in the right most two lanes where I'd have a clear line of sight to the engines.
Close, but no cigar.

Morgenster was one of the last of the tall ships to head to the assembly point whilst Royal Iris with a full complement of passengers headed up the river to follow the fleet as it paraded out of the Mersey.

NY State Assembly Chamber. the fisheye effect is unintended. My lack of a wide angle digital lens (20mm=30mm) made this a 2 shot panorama with a fish eye effect. It would actually work perfectly if I shot one on the floor and one from the balcony keeping the camera level. Both were shot from the balcony creating the converging/diverging lines.
