Employees of Allianz Korea have been on strike against a system of performance related pay that is not covered by the applicable collective agreement.
Together with UNI Global Union, Allianz Life Korea Union, ver.di, demand that Allianz:
1.reinstates the 92 sales branch managers that Allianz Korea dismissed unlawfully for
exercising their right to join a union and to go on strike.
2.withdraws the performance related pay system Allianz Korea introduced unilaterally
in breach of its valid collective agreement.
3.returns to the bargaining table to negotiate a mutually acceptable performance
related pay system with the union as foreseen in the applicable collective agreement.
4.works towards the release of the two arrested colleagues Je Jong-kyu, President of
the union, and Kim Jae-Suk.

CHITRAL: Chitral , Khyber Pahtonkhwa as well as Pakistan will
overcome on energy crises very soon said Badshah Salih PMA chairman
standing committee on Energy & Power during a high level meeting at
Governor cottage. The meeting was chaired by Badshah Salih while it
was attended by Imtiaz Shagai, Aurangzeb Khan, Saleem Khan, Anwar
Khan, Ghulam Muhammad (MP), members of standing committee as well as
District Coordination officer Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir, leaders of
different political and religious parties. Besides them Additional
secretary Energy and power, Zahid Akhtar Sabri director Sarhad Hydro
Development Organization (SHYDO), Bashir Ahmad Project Director Lawai
power project and Javed Haider resident Engineer Reshun power house.
Zahid Akhtar while briefing the participants said that SHYDO will
launch hydro power houses at 9 sites after 18th Amendment in which
power delegated to provincial government to construct power house more
than 50 Megawatt. As a result SHYDO has pointed out and completed
survey of 9 sites at Chitral its feasibility report will be submit
to provincial government which are Lawi hydro power project of 69
Megawatt, Gahriat Swir Lasht, 340 MW, Koragh Pariet 223 MW, Shushghai
140 MW, Laspur Miragram 133 MW, Shogosin 132 MW, Mojigram Shoghore
52MW, Istaru Booni 52 MW and Arkari Gol 24 Megawatt. DCO Chitral said
that Chitral having rich potential of water where more than 15000
Megawatt power can be generated as a result people of the whole
country get relief from longest load shedding
Zahid Akhtar disclosed that consultant have been appointed for
carrying out feasibility study of these sites and these projects will
be constructed under public private partnership mode. He said that
Chitral is very interesting place for private as well as foreigner
investor which have capacity of 15000 megawatt. DCO Chitral also
raised the point to committee for dialogue with WAPDA to hand over
local hydro power house at Singor to SHYDO for up-gradation upto 4
Megawatt while at present it generate only 600 KV electricity. After
its up-gradation energy problem of Town area can be solved easily. It
was also discussed that Federal government can donate this power house
to provincial government and can sale out . Stake holders raised the
point that MNA Chitral have paid million of rupees to Wapda for
provision of transformers, poles and cable to different location but
the same is still awaited and were not distributed. The stockholders
said that if any party construct hydro power house at Chitra its total
investment can be return within a few years.
Later on the committee members visited Sheshi power house and site for
Lawai hydro project of 69 Megawatt as some 12 billion rupees have been
allocated and work will start within 6 months. They also visited
Reshun power house and recommended for its up-gradation while at
present Reshun power hosue generate 4.2 Megawatt and Sheshi Power
hosue 1.875 Megawatt. It was also revealed that 800 KV electricity is
spare at Sheshi and 1 megawatt at Reshun power house which should be
supply to Chitral town. MPA Chitral Haji Ghulam Muhammad said that
these my efforts to raise the issue on the floor of Assembly and call
chairman and members of standing committee to Chitral to visit
different sites where 1200 Megawatt electricity can be generate easily
and in long term it have potential up to 15000 MW. People of Chitral
are optimist after visit of the committee which will give a good news
to country men who will release from mental torture of non scheduled
load shedding.
