The synagogue was built in in 1936/1937 and closed in 2008 after serving the local Jewish community for over 70 years.
This is a photo of the upper seating area which I believe would have been used by the women.
The synagogue was designed by architect Ernest Alfred Shennan.

The Ark is an approximately 3 ft lavendar kingsnake. This guy is a maniac, I've been advised to drop the mice in quickly and close the tank. Gonna take some work to tame this one.

You might just be able to see a figure dressed in white, dead-centre and about a quarter of the way up from the bottom of the image, to give a sense of scale.

I’m calling this done for now. Basically, everything is there and I just need to go over it and do a lot of little bits of fiddling. Plus I need to light the reactor up etc.
Love this photo was worth the hike to get there the right time only good for this type of photo for 30 minutes a day
50035 'Ark Royal' passes Stourport Road Bridge, Kidderminster working an Unfitted Freight on a Driver / Guard training / refresher run. 16/10/21
British Rail English Electric Type 4 Class 50, 50035 'Ark Royal' preserved by The Fifty Fund, now part of the Class 50 Alliance and based on The Severn Valley Railway. Built in 1968, it was withdrawn from service in 1990. It was purchased for preservation in 1991.
On December 18th 2021 it was utilised to operate a staff train from Kidderminster to Arley. Here it is seen in the process of running round and shunting the stock for the return leg.

This upgrade kit includes removable shoulder armor that an optional cape can go under and a tool belt that is glued onto a stock groin piece. Note for the cape we hand cut a single neckhole cape, it will look better than a double neckhole cape.
The parts shown are straight primered from the printer, this is what the parts will look like with no sanding, they will look better with light finishing work.
Kit is meant for experienced customizers and not for play by children!
Helmet is removable!

Noah's Ark (Hebrew: תיבת נח; Biblical Hebrew: Tevat Noaḥ) is the vessel in the Genesis flood narrative (Genesis chapters 6–9) by which God spares Noah, his family, and a remnant of all the world's animals from the flood. According to Genesis, God gave Noah instructions for building the ark. Seven days before the deluge, God told Noah to enter the ark with his household and the animals. The story goes on to describe the ark being afloat for 150 days and then coming to rest on the Mountains of Ararat and the subsequent receding of the waters.
Kunya Ark è una fortezza all'interno della città fortificata di Itchan Kala a Khiva. La fortezza era la residenza dei sovrani di Khiva ed essendo una sede reale era munita di tutto, dall'harem alla moschea. Caratteristica la moschea d'estate caratterizzata da un'imponente architettura con sei colonne. Il soffitto in legno è molto colorato e le pareti ricoperte da piastrelle bianche e blu raffiguranti motivi geometrici e vegetali. La nicchia o porta verso la Mecca (mihrab) è esposta a sud e non verso la Mecca, come prescriverebbe la regola. Oggi l'edificio è un museo.
Kunya Ark is a fortress within the fortified city of Itchan Kala in Khiva. The fortress was the residence of the kings of Khiva and being a royal home was equipped with everything from the harem to the mosque. The mosque in summer is characterized by an imposing architecture with six columns. The wooden ceiling is very colorful and the walls covered with white and blue tiles depicting geometric and plant motifs. The niche or gateway to Mecca (mihrab) is exposed to the south and not to Mecca, as the rule would prescribe. Today the building is a museum.

a good while back, I was asked to make an illustration for a book called the ark project, now the book is finally out. all of the artists involved chose an animal to illustrate, I chose a falcon.
I love our local waterfalls and visit them too often. Now that I'm shooting in RAW for Lightroom, I need to adapt the way I shoot and process my cascade shots. This first, from a visit with my Wife today, is Water Ark Foss - near Goathland.
