One of my favourite sculptures. Bronzed photographer with a Kodak 126 camera. Some bronzed subjects. Popular :group shot" spot. One guy was trying to climb up on one of them. Light dropped and I set the lens at 2.8. Sometimes fuzzy or bokeh is good

I'm posting this as an example of Df96 monobath. It is not good. There is a band on both top and bottom of all the images and the shadows are very dark. I don't like it and will probably only try it one more time on a test roll, like this one.

These kids had been helping their family to cook. Well, this smallest child in front of me--with brilliant rabbit-ear hairdo--is mainly watching. The boy further down the steps was carrying a tray covered in meaty blood to wash in the river.

La comodidad es importante!!!
Student nuns on a field trip. Totally unprompted, my mototaxi driver suggested dropping me off a short distance from the normal entrance so I could blend in with the other locals. Tourists normally pay $3 or $5 (obviously, I don't know) to enter.

Shot on the mystery film roll ... I developed this so long ago but didn't get around to scanning it, so I forgot what camera I shot this with.
Arista Premium 400 which I am sure I pushed probably to 1600 in this case because I got some pretty contrasty images.
Yup, that’s what it is. A raindrop. Nikon F3HP, Micro-Nikkor 105mm f/2.8 lens, Kodak Tri-X for that grainy goodness, and Rodinal 1:50. Happy new year, everyone.

As I was photographing some folks down a sidewalk this young lady was walking on, she approached me with a scowl. "Why are you taking my photograph?" I responded, "Because you are interesting." With that she smiled and requested, "Give me some sugar." I responded, "How about some cash for lunch instead?" "Of course I want another photo of you." We agreed and parted ways smiling.
Posted on Thanksgiving Day.
As I was walking along Irving Street in San Francisco I saw the owner and dog. The poodle was at first only interested in peering inside a store, I suspected they were waiting for someone. The dog was bobbing up and down on two legs then it's four legs in anticipation. He then saw my wife and I walking up to them. With my Olympus XA4 in hand, I did try to get the dog's attention by making a noise and he rose up on his legs and just looked at me with that puzzled expression. Snap....
What I like about the photo isn't much that he's on his legs (well that is catchy), it's that I also captured everything in 2's. The owner legs, the two polls, another walker's legs, signs of another person on the right and even the reflections/shadows. Everything is in two's and it all comes together. Additionally the lines lead up and frame the dog for the viewer. There's also nothing like looking at the negs when shooting film. You look at it and you just know you got a good one that you can hold, feel and touch.
More at alapan.
