On Monday 20th July 2020, around 420 coaches descended on London and honked their horns from Earls Court, along the Chelsea Embankment, through Parliament Square and up to Tower Bridge. Their aim was to highlight to the Government the severe financial crisis the industry currently finds itself in with no prospect of any sort of recovery until at least next summer.
I witnessed the parade pass Chelsea Bridge with the lead vehicle passing at 11:00 and the final coach passing some 3 hours later!!
For this event I decided to focus on the coaches themselves.

The Point Arena Lighthouse stands tall and proud on the Northern California Mendocino Coast.
This lighthouse was built in 1908 to replace an earlier version after the original brick lighthouse was damaged beyond repair in the Great San Francisco Earthquake.
Constructed of reinforced concrete, this lighthouse was built by a company that specialized in smokestacks, which is why it looks like one.
At 115 feet tall, the Point Arena Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse on the U.S West Coast (tied with Pigeon Point)
Point Arena is the closest point to Hawaii on the U.S. mainland, which makes this as close as I will probably ever get to Hawaii.
I used a KITE to fly the camera.

This ghostown has zero population. A church, a schoolhouse, a house, and a couple of abandoned grain elevators is all thats left. There is also a box car and an overturned car. A truly extinct town.

Dan and I took a road trip to parts of Northern California and parts of Oregon.
We visited the Point Arena Lighthouse. This was on my list of places to see.

This one of my favorite scenes of the Peleg Chronicles. It's where Lord McDougal, Fergus and a band of faithful warriors come to face off against three 13 foot tall giants. I'm not going to tell you who these giants are and how in the world our heroes got into this predicament. You are going to have to read these awesome books for yourself. ;)

First, in the common property of the FC Bayern München and TSV 1860 Munich GmbH & Co. KGaA, bought the FC Bayern Munich AG later the shares of the TSV 1860 Munich GmbH & Co. KGaA and is now the sole owner.
