The Allianz Arena is a football stadium located in Fröttmaning in the north of Munich. Max. seating is 75,000. Due to it's shape it earned the nicknames "Schlauchboot" (inflatable boat) and "Autoreifen" (tyre).

Azul del cielo, azul turquesa del agua y amarillo de la arena... todo un espectáculo que me ha enamorado.
Mar, háblale a mi corazón de tu grandeza.
Cuéntame el cuento de lo constante, de la energía en movimiento.
Sáname con tu arrullo de nana marina, con tu bálsamo de sal que absorbe lo denso.
Háblale a mis células de su antiguo hogar, hace eones.
Susurra a mi niña interna tus canciones de sirenas y de ciudades sumergidas.
Enséñame a respirar, a inhalar y exhalar como tus corrientes internas.

Cuando era joven –me contó la Tejedora–, creía que estaba a merced de la VIDA.
Que esta me daba una madeja de hilos enmarañados y yo, víctima de mi Destino, con ella tejía mis pasos.
Pasaron los años y aprendí que, en verdad, era libre de elegir los hilos de mi Telar, de escoger los colores que me hacían vibrar y tejer mi creación bajo el sol o la luna, en la intimidad del desierto o en la exuberancia de la selva, en la soledad elegida o en la bendición de tener buena compañía.
Pero ahora que mi pelo es completamente de plata, veo que no solo soy la que teje mi destino. Sé que formo parte del corazón de la Tierra, del caminar de las manadas, de la savia de los árboles. De las risas y los llantos de los niños.
Ahora sé que formo parte del TODO y el TODO es parte de mí. Que soy la Tejedora, el Telar y el Hilo.

Cruisin' down the Mendocino County coastline, I finally found one of the places I have long wanted to shoot, the Point Arena Lighthouse.
One of the things I like most about this part of the California coast is, all the beauty of the Big Sur coast without all the tourists.
The Point Arena lighthouse is 115ft elevation from the ground. Their is 145 steps spiral staircase with 4 landings to get to the top of the lighthouse and is the tallest lighthouse on the west coast that is open to the public.

« Je roulais depuis plus d’une demi-heure sur une petite route longeant l’Aar, quand le moteur s’est mis à hoqueter. Un seul regard sur la jauge à essence m’a suffi : on avait dû me siphonner mon carburant durant la nuit. Ça m’apprendra à stationner dans la rue alors que mon hôtel avait un parking ! Enfin, j’arrive sur un site industriel et me dis qu’il y a sûrement un endroit où je pourrai trouver de l’essence. Je prends donc le bidon vide qui traîne dans mon coffre et franchis le portail. Après environ 300 mètres, je découvre ce tunnel. Il doit bien mener quelque part… L’endroit est sinistre, mais je m’y engage quand même. Alors que j’atteins le milieu, une silhouette apparaît de l’autre côté. Impossible de distinguer ce qu’elle tient dans sa main, mais son attitude ne me semble pas très amicale. Instinctivement, je fais demi-tour. Mais j’entends des pas derrière moi… Il me suit ! »
Bien sûr, ma visite ne s’est pas déroulée ainsi 😉, mais j’ai trouvé l’endroit parfait pour une ambiance de film noir. Il s’agit de l’Arena Attisholz, la plus grande friche industrielle de Suisse, située à quelques kilomètres de Soleure. J’ai exploré le site en solitaire, alors que tout était fermé. Le lieu est fascinant, offrant d’innombrables possibilités pour des atmosphères particulières, voire angoissantes. En saison, l’ambiance doit être tout autre, avec ses spectacles, ses restaurants et ses visiteurs.
L'Arena di Verona è un anfiteatro romano situato nel centro storico di Verona, icona della città veneta insieme alle figure di Romeo e Giulietta. Si tratta di uno dei grandi fabbricati che hanno caratterizzato l'architettura ludica romana ed è l'anfiteatro antico con il miglior grado di conservazione, grazie ai sistematici restauri realizzati fin dal '600. D'estate ospita il celebre festival lirico e vi fanno tappa molti cantanti e musicisti internazionali.
In epoca comunale e scaligera si tennero all'interno dell'Arena delle lotte giudiziarie: per risolvere processi incerti, gli interessati potevano valersi di lottatori professionisti, detti campioni. Il combattimento richiamava la cittadinanza a parteggiare per uno o l'altro campione, e i combattenti, nudi ed unti di olio, decidevano con la loro forza le sorti del processo. Perfino Dante partecipò come spettatore ad almeno una di queste lotte, descrivendola in un canto dell'Inferno:
« Qual sogliono i campion far nudi e unti
avvisando lor presa e lor vantaggio,
prima che sien tra lor battuti e punti;
e sì rotando, ciascun il visaggio
drizzava a me, sì che 'ntra loro il collo
faceva e i piè continuo viaggio. »
(Dante Alighieri, Inferno - Canto sedicesimo, vv. 22-27.)
Point Arena Lighthouse is perhaps the most breath taking lighthouse along the California coast. The tallest of the lighthouses in California, its location along the Mendocino County Coastline is also the closest to the Hawaiian Islands --not that it means anything--it's just a fun fact. Usually there is healthy blanket of fog draped along the coast during the spring months. I was lucky on this early spring morning to catch this venerable old lighthouse aglow with the radiant light of a brand new day.
