There are a few of these old mansions which formerly belonged to rich businessmen in the city. Unhappily some of them have been left to rot and are in a very poor state of repair. This is sad because those that have been renovated are magnificent.

Main Street Cellar Wine Bar in Manotick, a suburb of Ottawa on the Rideau River. The arcitecture here is fabulous, just like the wine lol! Best viewed large =)

The marketplace and townhall of Jelenia Góra.
The marketplace is surounded by several pergolas, each of them named after a different type of working there.
Une vue à partir de l'intérieur du Harpa qui est situé au Austurbakki 2, près de l'intersection des rues Lækjargata et Kalkofnsvegur, à Reykjavik, capitale d'Islande.
L'immense complexe Harpa est d'abord une salle de concerts et un centre de congrès, hébergeant aussi restaurants, bars et disquaire, est le fleuron de la geste architecturale islandaise et le symbole de la revitalisation du front de mer de la ville. L'orchestre symphonique d'Islande et l'opéra d'Islande y sont rattachés.
Inauguré en mai 2011, l'Harpa a été conçu par la firme danoise Henning Larsen Architects et somptueusement habillé par le designer islandais Ólafur Elíasson. Etonnant, selon le jour, l'heure et l'état du ciel, sa carapace aux multiples écailles se métamorphose. À l'intérieur, le regard glisse sur les murs lisses et noirs comme de la lave, puis s'arrête sur le plafond couvert de miroirs en 3D.

Taken from the grounds of St. James the Great Church. Throughout the castle's long history, it was only ever attacked twice. Both instances were minor skirmishes. In 1327 Richard de Barri attacked the castle in a dispute over family succession. Three hundred years later in 1645, during the English Civil War, the castle was seized by Parliamentarian forces. It was then deliberately damaged to prevent further military use by the Royalists.
During 17th and 18th centuries it fell into decay. In 1880 the castle was partially restored by a Mr J.R.Cobb, a tenant who carried out repairs to the buildings and walls. It now in private ownership and along with the gardens is open to the public.

The Mall of Berlin, also known as LP12 Mall of Berlin and Leipziger Platz Quartier, is a shopping center in Berlin's Mitte district of the same name, forming the northeastern part of the octagon on Leipziger Platz. It is a covered pedestrian passage with high arcades and forms a line of sight to the Prussian mansion, the seat of the Federal Council.

The World War Siege Bell is a monument the sacrifice of the people who fought and died for Malta during WWII. It was built in 1992 and opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II for the display of bravery and valour shown during the attacks on the island from 1940-42.
The bell is tolled each day at noon.
