IT WAS SUCH A FUN APRIL 1ST at the SAINT STUPID DAY'S PARADE in SAN FRANCISCO. There is no other event in the world where folks gather to HAVE FUN and poke fun at the imbedded horrid capitalist explotation of the world. NO VIOLENCE just FUN...
Everyone came in costume...ADDA came as a REPUBLICAN BURNING IN HELL (which we all know in our deepest of hearts is where all REPUBLICANS and RIGHT WING A-0's will end up) !
Everyone gathered at the EMBARCADERO then proceeded to the WORKERS STATUE...then to the OLD STOCK EXCHANGE for the wonderful spoof...SOCK EXCHANGE...everyone tossing old socks in the air ! A RIOT!
Onward to the BANKER's HEART...the big, black marble rock in front of BANK OF AMERICA...where everyone tossed their loose pennies at the banker's greedy heart!
There was tons of good fun, great signs, good vibes, political statements, and incredible costumes
(BTW...so much more fun, much better and more creative than the WONDERCOM folks who have to rely on someone elses creativity! geesh)
I soldered extra battery leads to the mind molester device so I could fit the battery and device inside the clock.

Today is April Fool's day, I hate pranks and I really don't like the idea of tricks or people having a justified reason to pick on people. That said, I do enjoy a good Joke, like Google Maps having quest mode where you can look at the maps in 8bit, or the funny offerings at ThinkGeek (A K Cup that dispenses donuts? Priceless) Make sure you go and look up the Mass Effect Saturday Morning Cartoon on YouTube, that was awesome.
Years ago my husband explained to me the french custom (I don't know if it is just Quebec or something they do in france too, but its part of his culture) of giving people fish on April First, so for the past few years I have honored this custom by drawing fish, here is this year's fish.
This is what happens when your April Fools prank comes back to get you.

Here’s the April Fools' Day posting I left for staff on our home page this morning. (Text below.) I hadn't planned doing anything this year, but I've earned a kind of reputation for doing spoofs over the last 12 years or so. Last week three people told me they were looking forward to “whatever I was planning.” Truth be told, I wasn't planning to do anything – until this idea came to me Monday.
To pull this off I had to get up very early Tuesday to stop at Shari’s and order a Belgian waffle. The waitress thought I was crazy when I told her it was more important that it look good than taste good. (No one was going to eat it anyway!) Then it was off to a library where I had to get in, do my photo shoot, and get out before staff started showing up and asking me why I was dripping strawberries and syrup into the book drop. Today, after it appeared on the website, I’d say “hi” to people in the hall and they’d just smile and say “waffles.” Nothing else. I kinda like that greeting.
I noticed my latest two picks were doing well so I went to FD Toys to check the scout. Before today my Sunset Jog shot had made it to 212 and was fading. When the scout page opened not only was Sunset Jog #1 but four other pictures as well. I jumped up and showed my fiance. Then I went to the flickr Explore page and saw all the cats. Nothing but cats... Oh yeah, April Fools... Good one flickr!

For April Fools Day dinner: Turtle Sandwich! Just a round loaf of bread, small pieces for turtle parts, chocolate chips for eyes.
Background: Our building is being picketed by the Mid-Atlantic Carpenter's Union because (as I understand it) one of the subcontractors uses non-union employees. Every morning we're greeted by a picket line of roughly 15-20 carpenters and (again, as I hear it) folks picked up from the local homeless shelter (presumably to increase numbers) chanting and walking in an oval, with placards and signs. There are usually two or three other guys standing off to the side, one leading the chanting, and the other holding a clipboard (I don't know what the third does when he's there). I find this all pretty entertaining. On the really good days, they bring in a giant papier mache (I think) rat, tied to the bed of a pickup truck. The rat must be 15-20 feet tall. Sometimes they put a picket sign on it. Awesome. Sadly, I have yet to bring in my camera on a rat day.
Anyway, it was clear to me that if I was going to pull an april fool's prank at work, it would have to be Picketing Peeps.

We had a nice spring day yesterday, but Mother Nature decided to play an April Fools' joke on us today.
