One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "April Fools".

Es gibt nicht viele Bilder vom Europäischen Fellnasenhasen und es ist großes Glück, dass ich einen vor die Linse bekommen habe. Er ist weitläufig verwandt mit dem ordinären Feldhasen, kommt im Vergleich zu diesem aber heute nur noch extrem selten vor. Als gefährdete Art steht er in Deutschland seit dem 14. Jhdt. auf der Roten Liste. Leider hat er mich in dem Moment, als ich den Auslöser gedrückt habe, schon erblickt. In der nächsten Sekunde machte er sich vom Acker und verschwand zwischen Brombeerbüschen. Egal, ich habe das Foto und damit auch den Beweis, dass man nicht immer die Safari in Afrika buchen muss, um Exoten zu fotografieren. Manchmal gelingt das ganz einfach vor der eigenen Haustür. Man muss nur die Augen offenhalten.
There aren't many pictures of the European Fur-nosed Hare and I was very lucky that I got one in front of my lens. The Fur-nosed Hare is distantly related to the common Brown Hare, but is extremely rare compared to the latter. It has been on the the Red List of Endangered Species in Germany since the 14th century. Unfortunately, he spotted me the moment I pressed the shutter. The next second he left the field and disappeared between blackberry bushes. I am happy that I got the shot and with it the proof that you don't always have to book a safari in Africa to photograph exotic animals. Sometimes this can be done quite easily on your own doorstep. You just have to keep your eyes open.

This week's Macro Mondays is as the day is April 1st, All Fool's Day, and of course it would be foolish (pun intended) not to do something as the theme requires, something fun and a bit silly ... So, maybe you get asked if you'd like a second cup and your reply might be, Just Half A Cup Please.
This'll be a fun week and I look forward to see what's been created.
i think a suitable title that scary enough for the incoming sequels is "Cook It Alive".... just a joking for fools in April.... ha ha :D

Happy first day of April! Mother Nature says "Happy April Fools" you Dakotans just thought it was Spring.
No it was taken in November so don't worry I hope we will not have any more snow. But, I can remember some snow in early April one year on the 8th as I was going with a group by bus to New York City. That day it snowed like crazy!
The ice has been blown inshore and is now blocking the entrance to St. John's harbour. The evening shadows paint these constantly shifting pans, which stretch to the horizon and beyond. If you look closely you'll see an iceberg among the pans just beyond the headland.

Enligt bondepraktikan:
Inträffar varm och torr väderlek under första och andra tredjedelen av denna månad, kan man nästan säkert vänta kallt och regnigt väder under den sista tredjedelen.
Om april blåser i sitt horn, så fås en god skörd av korn. Mars torr, april våt, och maj kan fylla bondens lador all, men april torr och ren är bonden till stort men.
April varm, maj sval, juni våt är något att glädjas åt.
En torr april är ej vad bonden vill, men aprilregn ger frukterna hägn.
Aprilsnö är så gott som fåragö.
På en våt april följer en torr juni.
Klart månsken i april skadar fruktblommorna. Om tordyveln i den första vårtiden har löss framme under hakan, då är denna tid den bästa att bruka jorden.
Ligger grodrommen om våren i djupt vatten, följer en torr och varm sommar, men ligger den vid stranden eller annars på grunt vatten, är en våt sommar att förvänta.
For this week's Macro Mondays theme 'April Fools' I photographed peas, together with what is actually a bookmark (the knife and fork are normally tied together by a leather strap). I collect bookmarks, I have thousands. Funny thing is, I use an e-reader.
The knife is 5 centimeters long.
