April installment of the Socks For All Seasons Pattern Club: April Fool's Day Socks. These socks are both really simple and really unusual. The prank here is that a simple pair of socks emerge in the strangest fashion. Because the pair is knit all at once, there will be no second sock syndrome... And
if you can’t bear cutting the socks open, you can always wear your creation as a cowl!
Texas toast-sized slice of brown bread: Cinnamon-sugar crusted cinnamon quick bread.
Cooked egg: The white of the egg is a lightly sweetened, soft, wobbly, vanilla bean and milk agar agar jelly. The dippable yolk in the center is lemon curd.
Cooked bacon strips: Crisp, orange-flavored sugar cookies with a hint of apple wood liquid smoke.
Hash brown: Crunchy and chewy cocada. Shredded coconut, dulce de leche, and egg white were mixed together, formed into a patty, and baked.
Coarse salt and pepper: Decorative black and white sugar crystals.
Orange juice: A creamy, lightly sweetened, turmeric beverage. Soy milk, ground turmeric, ground ginger, a thread of saffron, and clover honey were simmered together, strained, then chilled before serving.
Portable Patio with Hot Tub & Bistro set: World-renowned eco expert Russ Riffraff meticulously designed the adjacent portable patio (EcoBox Option A; an additional $999), which features an inflatable hot tub and lovely 30" bistro table, chairs, umbrella, and place settings — fit for "whining and dining" Sun's Top customers. The 250-gallon portable Spa2Go is powered by solar panels and heated to a comfortable 104°F, and is filled with recycled grey water to minimize harmful effects to the environment.

(yes, it took ADDA one year to post these...lol...well, it is a celebration of ST STUPID after all !)
The parade went to the SOCK EXCHANGE (Pacific Stock Exchange) where socks were exchanged and thrown in the air!
...and of course, the PARADE would not be complete without a visit to the cold black BANKER'S HEART in front of BANK OF AMERICA where marchers tossed pennies at the black marble 'sculpture'.

Should have gone to "Specsavers"! I got quite excited when I saw this last summer and captured the shot before I realised what I was photographing. Not a fungus as I first thought, but a large rusty nut. Thought it appropriate to post this on 1st April, an April Fool if you like, but the jokes definitely on me. I now always wear my new outdoor glasses when I'm out walking and do see more clearly, but it is a faff having to take them off and find somewhere to put them when using my DSLR!
Having to post this early for April Fool's Day as setting off with laptop to repair shop now!

Ignite Phoenix is an information exchange for fostering and inspiring Phoenix’s creative community. In one evening, you hear 18 passionate speakers from our creative, technical, and business communities talking about their current projects or favorite ideas for just five minutes. Presentations will educate and inspire you, and maybe make you laugh in the process.
The Presentations
Up to 20 slides and 5 minutes is all you get. Not a second more. The presenters need to get to the point quickly, and make it exciting and engaging.
We welcome topics about anything that other people will find interesting. That’s a wide criteria and that’s just fine. If the most interesting submissions end up being technical, then Ignite will have a technical feel. There is a wide mix of topics. If you’re not interested in the current topic, all you have to do is wait for 5 minutes and a new one starts.

IT WAS A FUN APRIL 1ST at the SAINT STUPID DAY'S PARADE in SAN FRANCISCO. There is no other event in the world where folks gather to HAVE FUN and poke fun at the embedded horrid capitalist exploitation of the world.
Everyone came in costume...ADDA came as a REPUBLICAN BURNING IN HELL (which we all know in our deepest of hearts is where all REPUBLICANS and RIGHT WING A-0's will end up) ! i shouted MERRY CHRISTMAS to all the business people in the Financial District who stopped and stared in utter confusion.
Everyone gathered at the EMBARCADERO then proceeded to the WORKERS STATUE. There in honor of CLOWNS WITHOUT BOARDERS they put a 'red clown nose' on one of the statues! ADDA DADA got the crowd cheering 'HERO' for the guy who put the nose on the statue.
then to the PACIFIC STOCK EXCHANGE for the wonderful spoof...SOCK EXCHANGE...everyone exchanged socks & then tossed them in the air! One of ADDA DADA's Christmas SANTAs socks were found and declared a SAINT STUPID HOLY RELIC! (you so know i loved that)
Onward we went to the BANKER's HEART...the big, black marble rock in front of BANK OF AMERICA...where everyone tossed their loose pennies at the banker's black greedy heart! (This is just like the muslims in Mecca who toss rocks at the black stone which represents the devil..)
There was tons of good fun, great signs, good vibes, political statements, and incredible costumes
Good luck that the videos go on JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE tonight
