A bit blurry as I was hanging out of the last coach to obtain the shot
I was practicing with my 1.4 converter on my 100-400 lens. Unfortunately, the auto focus doesn't work on lenses with more than f4. So I have been in manual focus mode. I am planning a trip to Yellowstone in May and need the longest glass I can use. More duck.

On this, the 8th day of our successful 16-day trek to the K2 North Base Camp and the North Gasherbrum Glacier in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China, we trekked some 18 km (11.2 mi.) up the Shaksgam River from the campsite I called Junction Camp (elevation 3,840 m, 12,598 ft.) to the camp I called Quinghongtan North (elevation 3,968 m, 13,018 ft.), where we camped for the night. During the day we mounted the loads on our camels on three occasions to cross channels of the Shaksgam. Here our camels take a break on the true right bank of the Shaksgam River just 2.4 km (1.5 mi.) west of Quinghongtan North. Left of center on the skyline, Peak 6466 (21,214 ft.) is seen at left and Peak 6200 (20,341 ft.) is on the right. The angular snow-capped peak right of center is Peak 6384 (20,945 ft.). All three of these peaks lie on the watershed between the Shaksgam and Zug Shaksgam Rivers. The peak just visible behind the brown ridge at right rises to 5,836 m (19,147 ft.). We camped at the greenery at the foot of the slope at right (Quinghongtan South) on the third day of our trek en route to the K2 North Base Camp.

David died in 1999 after a fall while tele-skiing Liberty Ridge on Rainier. Note also that he's carrying skis up Redoubt. David loved to ski the steeps.

With Carn Brae Monument as a backdrop, D1015 continues westward. The 40mph speed restriction ahead won't trouble the loco as the line speed throughout Cornwall rarely rises above 60, as far as I recall at any rate.
