Lufty hit a solid bubble of fog right above the runway, here she half disappears into the abyss. A split second later she called a missed approach!
At dawn on 14th March 2009, DR Class 65 2-8-4T No.65 1049-9 rounds the curve by the freight loading point at Caaschwitz, heading a demonstration freight from Gera to Camburg (Saale).

Going by what is in view in this scene it would appear that very little had changed since 1867 when Marlborough House, by this time, Seabourne House, on the right was built, but a closer look reveals subtle changes.
St Peter's Church, behind the Belle Vue and Pier Hotel, is now complete, having had it's tower added in 1869, and it's spire in 1879.
The baths at the rear of Sydenham's Library and Fancy Bazaar have been extended to include a swimming pool, work that was carried out in the late 1880s.
The rowing boats for hire on the beach belonged to John Henry Bolson, who's family went on to have a very long association with boat trips from Bournemouth.

Sad to say, this unit was vandalised and damaged by fire some years ago. It is now under repair on the SCR.
As we drove a VERY narrow road along the cliffside on the Northern end of Maui, We watched this storm come in from the Pacific. It was pretty wild to watch the wall of rain moving along with the bright storm clouds.
Milwaukee Streetcar ("The Hop") car 05 approaches the Cathedral Square stop, outbound for Burns Commons. This was just about an hour after the opening-day celebrations at Cathedral Square Park had finished up, and crowds were packing the streetcars and just about every stop along the line. There is no overhead wire here- like Detroit's Q-Line, The Hop's Brookville-built streetcars run off-wire for part of their route, using battery power.

On a dull 10th July 1986 37417 Highland Region approaches Inverness with 2H62, the midday Wick to Inverness service.
On the road between Lagos and Badagry: the Lagos-Badagry Expressay is in need of some repair but is so busy and crowded that it would be hard to close it for improvements. Driving along it, if not in a hurry, and I wasn't, provided never-ending vistas of daily life.
