Finally managed to sit down and fill out my Bellisseria Passport Application - looking forward to getting stamping! :)
“Clown” is a piece of digital art created using three iterations of the Double Exposure filter in Nik Analog Efex Pro. It was just a “muck around” image I used to create diagrams/screenshots for the third and final in a series of articles I’m writing on “Multiple Exposures in Photoshop” for the Artists Down Under magazine, but after some applications of textures and some colour grading I liked it enough to post. The original photo is from Midjourney. The three articles will be in the May, June and July issues of the magazine.
We left Melbourne last night for a couple of weeks touring around Tasmania, I will try to stay up to date on Flickr but please accept my apologies if I’m a bit slower than usual, and there’s perhaps a few less comments.

Lennep Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen was born on March 27, 1845 in the traditional cloth-making town. The offspring of a cloth-making family spent the first years of his life here. In 1895, at the University of Würzburg, he discovered the rays that are now known throughout the world as X-rays. Roentgen's work not only revolutionized the entire field of medical diagnostics and therapy, it also paved the way for new scientific discoveries and many high-tech applications. The brilliant physicist, discoverer and researcher was awarded the first Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901.

The same procedure every year. Two applications are required to fly a drone in Thailand. A kind of driving licence or personal licence from the CAAT and a specific drone licence from the NBTC. Both applications require a lot of paperwork, forms have to be filled out and uploaded, photos with serial numbers, entry documents, an insurance confirmation, a residence address. If all goes well, the application to the CAAT has already been approved before the trip and so the application can be submitted to the NBTC with the entry stamp on the day of arrival. Ideally, processing will take less than half a day and you will then be sent a transfer order. The fee is 224 baht including bank charges. In the end, you have two certificates that allow you to fly a drone legally. I wouldn't do it without the certificates, because if the worst comes to the worst, you are covered, especially in the event of an accident.

Today is my birthday. One day older than yesterday;) I could have tried to make an array of tondi one for each year on this planet but the application couldn't possibly have coped with that huge number so 9 will have to do ;))))
I got a great Diana F+ special edition El Toro (apt as I am Taurus star sign) and a couple of excellent books on photography (Life Magazine Photographers and Polaroid photography) and many other things besides.
So expect some film funky photos soon.

IFolio presentation
iFolio is an application created specifically for iPhone and iPod Touch, which aims to provide a pleasant and liquid portfolios of various artists
( Photographers, artists, graphic illustrators ...).
1) While viewing the portfolios of an artist, the "Contact" button will allow you to access information about the artist (his email, his website ...)

Time: Months after the battle of Geonosis
This place is horrid. I have been stuck here for months now.Soon I will be transferred to a new unit, the 253rd. I was stationed here after the succesful invasion during which most of my unit was killed.Our outpost was quickly constructed and is undermanned.Everyone here wants to leave but it looks like I am the only one that will be leaving soon. The planet is nothing but dust, dirt and debris from the recent battle. Hopefully this 253rd legion will be better than here.

The Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission takes us over Tashkent, the capital city of Uzbekistan.
Visible as the grey area in the top right of the image, Tashkent is the largest city in Central Asia. It lies in northeast Uzbekistan, near the border with Kazakhstan. The city is situated in the Chirchiq River valley.
Vast agricultural fields dominate the image, particularly at the bottom. Cotton is the chief crop in this region, but wheat, rice, jute, melons and vegetables are also grown.
The dark green body of water in the centre of the image is the Shardara Reservoir, an artificial lake located entirely within Kazakhstan. Along the edges of the lighter patch of cultivated land, visible south of the reservoir, runs the border between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The lighter colours in the reservoir indicate the presence of sediment. The reservoir, which is used for irrigation, is the result of the Chardara dam – visible on the northwest bank. It is fed by the Syr Darya River, which enters the basin from southeast and flows northwest along the green strip of agricultural fields in the upper part of the image, within the surrounding desert.
West of the river lies the Kyzylkum Desert, the 15th largest desert in the world. The Aydar Lake is immediately south. It is part of the artificial Aydar-Arnasay system of lakes, which, covering a total area of 4000 sq km, constitutes the largest reservoir in Uzbekistan.
Copernicus Sentinel-2 is designed to provide images that can be used to distinguish between different crop types and accurately monitor plant growth. The mission’s frequent revisits over the same area and high spatial resolution also allow changes in inland water bodies to be closely monitored.

As observant as you all are, you may notice I utilized a paint application with this image. I'm not sure why because I was not unhappy with the original, but succumbed to the "I wonder" syndrome which has resulted in at least twice the time allocated daily to this photography hobby. While I am often pleased with the results of this fiddling, I also find myself remarkably and uncomfortably frustrated in the decision-making process and the never-ending options available. As in this example, which had a slightly darker version (both paint and original) which had me clicking back and forth between the four for literally an hour...and I'm still not sure I made the right choice. In many ways, I do believe I was happier overall in my "naive" period...that of click and post. Nevertheless, I am not a masochist so this penchant for processing must derive from an awareness that just maybe I can create a result as cool as those presented by so many of you...which in most cases remains to be seen.
As you can see, with the last few warm and sunny days, the lake has finally begun its annual return to liquid state, always creating some interesting looks in the process. Every year is different in some ways because of the variable climatic factors involved in the process. Here you'll note the prints highlighting the slushy ice remaining from the compression of snow by feet/paws, the resulting increased density causing more resistance to melting.
