This is actually on the corner of Vermont and Wilshire, directly across the street from the Metro station. I haven't been back there since March 25, but the two apartment buildings were far from being finished. It's all glass and probably pretty pricey.

Solaris, located on West Street, Forster, is a 7 storey residental/retirement apartment building complex right in the heart of Forster, NSW.
The $80 million project was approved in 2017 and was beset by delays and controversy right up to the opening of the ground floor Civic Precinct on October 9th 2023.
The complex's Civic Precinct includes shops, a new Public Library, a Tourist Information centre, offices, meeting rooms and amenities as well as indoor and outdoor public community spaces capable of accommodating 200 plus people.
Stage 2, as yet not commenced, adjacent to, and directly west of stage 1, will eventually include Evermore retirement living units.
The 2- and 3-bedroom apartments seen in this view face west and until stage 2 is built, have views over Wallis Lake.
The site was originally occupied by Forster Primary School but the construction of a new high school in South Forster in the early 1990's left the old high school site on Head Street vacant. The NSW Department of Education sold the site to Gowing Bros Pty Ltd and moved Forster Primary School to the Head Street site. Gowings subsequently sold the parcel of land to Mid Coast Council.
Its quite confusing digging into the next chapter of ownership but it looks like a partnership by some arrangement with Mid Coast Council and the trustees of the Graham Dong Family Trust including Mr Coyne Graham and M/s Margarette Dong. In addition, there are two other key players in this project, the developer – Enyoc Pty Limited. Note – “Enyoc” is the reverse spelling of Coyne (perhaps Coyne Graham?) and Kukas Brothers Pty Limited as the Builders.

Some more info on the Solaris complex from the Forster Fortnightly Newspaper of November 2021.
"The Solaris complex will consist of four separate towers. The first tower constructed will house the new Forster Civic Precinct on the ground floor. This will include a new library, tourist ground floor with residential living on the 6 floors above it. The remaining 3 towers will be designed for retirement living with two of the towers reaching 10 stories.
“I’m really proud to see such a massive social and economic outcome for the community with $6 million from the Federal government, $6 million from Mid Coast Council and $6 million from the Developers,” said David Gillespie.
Director of Enyoc construction, Coyne Grahame, explained, “We are back on track with construction and the Forster Precinct should be open by September 2022. More residents can reside here right next to the CBD with their own off-street parking, so we are not impacting on the community information centre, community facilities and the Mid Coast Council Customer Service Centre."
My cousin and I took a little trip to New York City and it so fun! Definitely one of the most enjoyable trips I have ever been on! Unfortunately i forgot my 50mm f/1.8 lens! GAH! I will never forgive myself for that haha.
Wonderful community amenities are available to residents here at The Point at Silver Spring, including the fire pit - now open for use!

Mainz, Germany – 2017NOV05 – Ketteler Neighborhood:
We strolled through the Ketteler Neighborhood in Mainz-Oberstadt, named in honor of the German theologian and politician who served as Bishop of Mainz. He resolved to consecrate his life to maintaining the cause of the freedom of the Church from the control of the State, bringing him into collision with the civil power, an attitude which he maintained throughout a stormy and eventful life.
We then walked through the site of Fort Weisenau, exercise that did us good on such a damp day with its dreary weather.

Felt like crap all day, so the furthest I made it from the apartment was the parking lot outside. So, here's a shot of the brand new lines they painted on the pavement today and the new dumpster.
Never went to this Sushi shop. Knew they had cockroaches pretty bad because I shared a building with them. To be fair, I'm pretty sure all restaurants in the area did, and I ate at them regardless.
