I haven't been taking as many photos during isolation, but I'm starting to poke my head out into the sunshine here and there.

Cranes + high rise above the Pacific Highway, Sydney - traveling (looking) South.
For months we have seen these giant cranes looming above the Highway - now the building itself is starting to appear.
This is the kind of architectural transition I was trying to capture in my 'Whimsical Watercolor Cityscapes' design challenge entry 'The Great Australian by Su_G'.

I thought I share a more peaceful image with you today after the "stormy" shots from the days before.
I love, I mean LOVE this tree. And I wish I could take credit for finding it, but it's Annette's. She found it in her neighborhood and was kind enough to show it to a few of her friends including me.
Right now the sun is setting to the right of the frame, but in fall / winter it should be to the left of this tree from the same vantage point. So, Annette, let's keep this is mind and go back. ;-)

Wishing you a great weekend. I hope it's a less gloomy and wet one than we are in for. ;-)
Captured in the Russellville neighborhood for Happy Truck and Gorgeous Green Thursday. HTT & HGGT everyone!
Because of the extremely grey weather conditions I chose to make some black and white photos this day. I came across a rather simple apartmentcomplex, but the reflections of the glas of the windows were so noticable I took the liberty of making 3 of those photos.
Today's my birthday. The past few years have been a wild ride, but I'm trying to remind myself to be grateful that I'm still here and learning about myself along the way.
Apartment complex @ Uttara 3rd Phase (sector 18), Dhaka , Bangladesh . Every year lots of agriculture and open land is turned in to residential use. This land was habitat to different types of wildlife , plant and fauna.
Our ancestors lived in trees to protect themselves from predators. I wonder if those who live on the highest levels in apartment buildings feel safer than those who live at ground-level where there are a greater number of predators.
Designed by Goddard Manton Architects, this 252-apartment complex overlooks Barrier Park and the Thames Barrier (both off to the right in this view). Whilst this Royal Docks complex looks like it is from the 1930s Art Deco period, it was actually completed in 2001.
The tower is intended to provide an overview of the River Thames. The cascading balconies of the lower levels face east and are designed to blend in with the French formal design of Barrier Park.
This view looks at the western (up-river) side and its extensive fire escapes, which is clearly intended to be the rear of the complex. In the foreground the River Thames' mud flats indicate that this was taken at or near low tide.
Today a major construction programme of what appears to be more apartments is nearing completion on the left-hand-side of Barrier Point Road which runs along the rear of the complex. That means that the view above is no longer available as most of the left-hand side of the complex is hidden from this perspective.
Blue Point Tower was built from 1958 to 1962 to the design a respected but controversial architect, Harry Siedler. He was born in Austria, trained in the US and has worked for much of his professional career in Australia. The building was a design which was initially part of a larger concept plan for high-rise residential development for McMahon's Point, but which by the time it was completed was falling in popular acceptance, as was the general perception of high-rise, high-density residential development. In recent years, whilst generally respected, it is often cited as an example of a structure inappropriate to its context.

Whoever fears the Lord has a secure fortress,
and for their children it will be a refuge.
The fear of the Lord is a fountain of life,
turning a person from the snares of death.
[Proverbs 14:26-27 NIV]
5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW:
1. Like it or not, we are ALL sinners: As the Scriptures say, “No one is righteous—not even one. No one is truly wise; no one is seeking God. All have turned away; all have become useless. No one does good, not a single one.” (Romans 3:10-12 NLT)
2. The punishment for sin is death: When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12 NLT)
3. Jesus is our only hope: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:8 NLT) For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23 NLT)
4. SALVATION is by GRACE through FAITH in JESUS: God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT)
5. Accept Jesus and receive eternal life: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 NLT) But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. (John 1:12 NLT) And this is what God has testified: He has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have God’s Son does not have life. (1 John 5:11-12 NLT)
Read the Bible for yourself. Allow the Lord to speak to you through his Word. YOUR ETERNITY IS AT STAKE!
