Ok, I've gotta confess. There's only one reason I even attended the drawing class at California Adventure: to show off. The lesson was on how to draw Goofy (something I can do in about 30 seconds). My wife and daughter enjoyed it though, and when the class was over, a guy walked up, looked at my finished drawing and said, "Illustrator?"
The real answer was too complicated, so I just said, "Yup."
Mission accomplished. :)

For those who don't know, my day job is being an animator at a game development company called Amaze Entertainment. We mainly create games for movie licenses, and I've had the opportunity over the past 3 years to work on a few fun projects. I figured I'd share a few samples of what i do day-to-day in this quick little video.

Aknitmation (Fiber) Film Festival, Day 1
If animation is “the rapid display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement. It is an optical illusion of motion due to the phenomenon of persistence of vision”, then mightn’t the use of fiber and related fiber arts (knitting, crochet, weaving, etc) to create the illusion be called a(k)ni(t)mation.

Whether you are playing a game title or watching a relevant video, VR enables you to step in the " new world " and be the hero of the story. What if you wish to tell a tale of your?
Producing immersive 3D animation studio Malaysia can be challenging and costly. It takes complex software to create keyframes with splined interpolation or pricey motion capture setups to trace how live actors undertake a scene. Professional animators spend considerable effort to produce sequences that appear to be significant and natural.
At Daydream Labs, we have been tinkering with methods to reduce technical complexity as well as give a greater feeling of play when animating in VR. In a single experiment we built, people could bring figures to existence by obtaining toys, moving them through space and time, after which replay the scene.
Once we saw people have fun with the animation experiment we built, we observed a couple of things:
The requirement for complex metaphors disappears in VR: So what can be complicated in 2D can be created intuitive in 3D. Rather of animating with graph editors or icons representing location, people could simply achieve out, grab an online toy, and make it with the scene. These simple animations were built with a hand crafted charm that communicated an unexpected amount of emotion.
The training curve drops to zero: Everyone was already acquainted with how you can communicate with real toys, so that they leaped in and also got began telling their tales. animation studio Malaysia did not require a extended tutorial, plus they could modify their animations as well as add new figures with no additional help.
People respond to virtual environments exactly the same way they respond to real ones: When individuals joined a playful VR atmosphere, they understood it had been safe space to experience using the toys around them. They believed comfortable performing and speaking in funny voices. They required more risks understanding the virtual atmosphere was created for play.
To produce more intricate animation studio Malaysia, we built another experiment that allow people individually animate the joints of merely one character. It allow you to record your character’s movement while you individually animated the ft, hands, and mind - exactly like you would having a puppet.
VR enables us to re-think software and make sure use cases natural and intuitive. While this sort of animation system won’t replace professional tools, it may allow anybody to inform their very own tales. There are lots of types of using VR for storytelling, particularly with video and animation, and we’re excited to determine new perspectives weight loss creators share their tales in VR.
I learned to hate flash while I was coding this, although these animations were comparatively easy to made.
This video is for my most recent project I did for Brighton Illustration Fair. The topic I picked was persistence - which is illustrated by the female's character repeated attempts to reach out to the other character.
I have used Adobe Photoshop to do frame by frame animation.
I was invited by the guys from Don'Try This Collective to make a new version of their logo and concept.
And this is my design for their logo. I also did an animation with it.
