This kingfisher was sitting beside an irrigational canal as we drove towards the national park. I got out of the vehicle and got as near as I could before it flew off. I saw very few kingfishers on this trip and didn't get near many either. This is the best shot of an Amazon kingfiher I took on the trip.

We had a demonstration of the tech team initiatives in Bangalore and gave out awards to team members.
« West Pediment and Akroteria of the Temple of Asklepios. The west pediment depicts the battle between the Greeks and the Amazons before the walls of Troy. The figures are in a highly fragmentary state of preservation, but we may note, in the centre, the figure of a mounted Amazon, probably the Amazon queen Penthesilea, fighting two warriors. Pentelic marble. About 380 BC. »
