Blue Pond (青い池 Aoi-ike) is a man-made pond feature in Biei, Hokkaido, Japan. It is the result of works on the Biei River (美瑛川), carried out after the 1988 eruption of Mount Tokachi, to protect the town of Biei from volcanic mudflows. The colour is thought to result from the accidental presence of colloidal aluminium hydroxide in the water. Damage caused by Typhoon Mindulle in August 2016 resulted in a temporary drop in the water level and in the colour briefly turning brown with mud and sand from the Biei River
The east of the country you can find one of the most world's most beautiful stretches of sandy desert. The Erg Occidental (western great sand sea) starts here and you can visit these high dunes from places like Ouarzazate, M'Hamid and Merzouga. From these towns at the edge of the Sahara you can go out and ride a camel or 4wd vehicle into the desert. You can choose to spend only the day in the desert but if you want longer trips there are many overnight options as well, even a week or more is possible and you will reach some parts that most people never visit. The one near Merzouga is called Erg Chebbi and easily be visited by just staying in one of the places at the edge of the dunes (a short piste drive of the main road) and walk into the dunes, preferably at sunset or sunrise when colours are more beautiful and temperatures lower. Erg Chigaga is located 60 kilometres west of M'Hamid in the southeast of the country and is reached by 4wd (roughly 2 hours across rough pistes) or by a 2-3 day cameltrip. Although more off the beaten track, it is not more beautiful than Erg Chebbi, both have their charms.

Known even in Japanese mythology, this is a scenic spot in the deep mountains of Miyazaki prefecture, Takachiho Gorge is a v-shaped valley almost 100m in height that is a symbol of Takachiho-cho. Its falls "Manai Falls" have been selected as the 100 top waterfalls in Japan and the numerous waterfalls create a gorgeous landscape.
Takachiho Gorge (高åƒç©‚峡, Takachiho-kyÅ) is a narrow chasm cut through the rock by the Gokase River. The nearly sheer cliffs lining the gorge are made of slow forming volcanic basalt columns which resemble the scales of a dragon where the stone twisted and flowed as it formed.
Partway along the gorge is the 17 meter high Minainotaki waterfall cascading down to the river below, and it is truly impressive to see the waterfall against a backdrop of dense green foliage and the surrounding grey cliffs.
Ostrvo Sveti Đorđe English: Island of Saint George) is one of the two islets off the coast of Perast in Bay of Kotor, Montenegro (the other being Gospa od Škrpjela). Unlike Gospa od Škrpjela, it is a natural island. The island contains Saint George Benedictine monastery from the 12th century and the old graveyard for the old nobility from Perast and further from the whole Bay of Kotor.
Next to Oyunuma, it is a small swamp in the part of the explosion crater of Hiyoriyama, Oyunuma / there is an observation deck on the parking lot side so you can see the whole swamp, because it is in nature It was mysterious, and a gray-black sulfur spring is gushing from the bottom of the swamp, and the surface temperature is 75 to 85 degrees. The water of Noboribetsu Ishimizutei where I took a bath on that day draws hot water from here.
Wet reflection on the suspension bridge under the rain at Fukidashi Park. This bridge looks like a normal bridge with towering trees blocking its view but i did notice a picture taken in summer and the trees would be in beautiful shades of red and yellow! Steel rod holding on to the bridge; despite the strong hold, the bridge can still shake quite badly when you have an irritating person who attempted to jump up and down! I was the irritating one although there's no one aside from me on the bridge.
The body of the Green Tree Python is laterally compressed with a large head that seems disproportionate to the width of the body. The tail is prehensile. They have greatly elongated foreteeth. The color of the adults is bright to dull emerald green above with a complete or broken series of white or yellow scales along the vertebral line and a few scattered white scales on the sides. A series of short, light blue bars extend out from the vertebral line. The belly is cream to light yellow. There are heat sensitive facial pits within the scales bordering the upper lip. The juveniles are a bright lemon-yellow, gold or orange to brick red, often with a dark purplish-brown white-centered streak through the eye and a vertebral stripe of the same color with short bars of brown extending from the vertebral line. Length can reach 6.5 feet, but rarely exceeds 1/2 that.
Nocturnal and arboreal, Green Tree Pythons spend the day sheltered in tree hollows, epiphytic ferns and etc. Adults feed primarily on small birds either as they come in to roost or actively stalking them. They will sometimes be seen dangling from their strong prehensile tails while eating. They have a distinct and unusual resting posture. The coils are drawn into a series of folded loops neatly proportioned over a horizontal branch so that the head is always brought to rest in the center.

The Eglinton valley is glaciated with steep sides and a flat floor. It's between 0.5 to 2 kilometers wide and has a shingle riverbed floor, which is constantly being changed by the Eglinton River. This is one of the few valleys in Fiordland to have road access. Since the Eglinton Valley is a long narrow valley with clear natural boundaries, a wide variety of flora and fauna, and a road running up the middle, it is an ideal location to explore and see the stunning surrounds from one of the only road-accessible valleys in Fiordland.
This misty morning view was rarely found but I did this time.

Hongcun (中國安徽省宏村) is a village in Hongcun Town, Yi County, Huangshan City in the historical Huizhou region of southern Anhui Province, China, near the southwest slope of Mount Huangshan.
The village is arranged in the shape of an ox with the nearby hill (Leigang Hill) interpreted as the head, and two trees standing on it as the horns. Four bridges across the Jiyin stream can be seen as the legs whilst the houses of the village form the body.
Hongcun became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000.
Jigokudani (地獄谷) or "Hell Valley" is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters.
From the valley, there are attractive walking trails through the wooded hills above Noboribetsu. If you follow them for about 20 to 30 minutes, you will get to Oyunuma, a sulfurous pond with a surface temperature of 50 degrees Celsius and a smaller, even hotter, mud pond nearby. Flowing out of Oyunuma is a river called Oyunumagawa. Still hot, the river flows through the forest, making for an out-of-this-world sight. It is possible to follow the river for several hundred meters and enjoy a natural foot bath (ashiyu) along the way.
The autumn color season in Noboribetsu usually reaches its peak in mid October, adding further colors to the already spectacular scenery. During winter, some of the walking trails in the hills above the Jigokudani might not always be passable.
