Sanssouci is the summer palace of Frederick the Great, King of Prussia, in Potsdam, near Berlin. It is often counted among the German rivals of Versailles. While Sanssouci is in the more intimate Rococo style and is far smaller than its French Baroque counterpart, it too is notable for the numerous temples and follies in the park.
Sanssouci is more than just the palace of Frederick the Great, and his beloved sanctuary with an expansive view over Potsdam. Sanssouci is also the world-renowned park with its distinctive, terraced grounds and majestic fountain at its center that was added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1990. Here, for more than 250 years, the highest level of garden design has united with works by the most competent architects and sculptors of their times. Here is the terrace gardens, looking down from the palace, towards the park.
Civita di Bagnoregio is a town in the Province of Viterbo in central Italy, a fraction of the comune of Bagnoregio, 1 kilometre (0.6 miles) east from it. It is about 120 kilometres (75 miles) north of Rome. Civita was founded by Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago. Civita was the birthplace of Saint Bonaventure, who died in 1274. The location of his boyhood house has long since fallen off the edge of the cliff. By the 16th century, Civita was beginning to decline, becoming eclipsed by its former suburb Bagnoregio.
At the end of the 17th century, the bishop and the municipal government were forced to move to Bagnoregio because of a major earthquake that accelerated the old town's decline. At that time, the area was part of the Papal States. In the 19th century, Civita's location was turning into an island and the pace of the erosion quickened as the layer of clay below the stone was reached in the area where today's bridge is situated. Bagnoregio continues as a small but prosperous town, while Civita became known in Italian as il paese che muore ("the town that is dying"). Civita has only recently been experiencing a tourist revival.

Looking at the world we live to filter things on our perception and translate to represent through our reason and common sense.
We are always telling you what we see the world and ourselves ... this is a way to tell by the look and visual expression as I saw this sea conjugated "this" cloud and the sky with that light ...

We had a cold front come in this morning & we are at 59 degrees, our lawn chairs are waiting, as we are, for warmer weather.
Green water dragons live along the riverbanks of tropical forests. They like to lie on branches overhanging the water and if approached by predators simply drop into the water. On land they are able to run short distances using only their hind legs. They are very territorial and defend their territory against males of the same species. Green water dragons are predominantly insectivores. They lay 5–20 eggs, from which the young dragons hatch after 60–100 days.

You only find the striking patterns of the Grévy's zebra in Kenya and Ethiopia these days. This species was once found in Ancient Egypt at the time of the Roman Empire, which goes to show that they were once prevalent in Northern Africa. Strict conservation measures protect the last surviving animals of today.
It is hard to believe, but the world's largest equine animals are actually not horses, but zebras. Grévy's zebras belong to the order of the Perissodactyla and are especially popular because of their distinctive black and white striping of their fur in addition to their long ears. There are three types of zebra: the Grévy's zebra, whose home is the semi-deserts of East African, the plains zebra and the mountain zebra, native to Namibia and South Africa.

A giant 29-metre tall bronze statue of the ancient warrior king, Philip of Macedon, was erected on Tuesday in the heart of the Macedonian capital Skopje. The statue's angle of position made Philip II at Macedonia Square looks at the Millennium Cross on the top of Mount Vodno. The cross was built on the highest point of the Vodno mountain on a place known since the time of the Ottoman Empire as "Krstovar", meaning "Place of the cross", as there was a smaller cross situated there. However, it holds more significance for the locals than tourist appeal.
"Es necesario sentir cierta afinidad con lo que se fotografía. Hay que sentirse parte de ello y, al mismo tiempo, lo suficientemente distante para verlo de forma objetiva. Es como mirar desde la platea una obra de teatro que conocemos de memoria."

Dancing Girl Statue of a topless girl doing the dancer's pose (yoga). Some people say that this is a statue of a young girl who drowned here but others say that this is just an ordinary statue. This is a good place to take pictures with a panorama of Old Town in back.
