A solitary tree has grown up all alone on Lake Wanaka, backdropped by the beautiful Southern Alps. Known as the “lone tree of lake Wanaka,” it is said to be one of the most photographed trees in all New Zealand. However, you still need to have the inside scoop to find it, as there are no signs directing people to the solitary tree. It’s just enough off of the beaten path to not be bothered by too many tourists unless they’ve done their research. The lone tree is right at the foothills of Mount Aspiring National Park, a World Heritage Site, acting as a doorway into even more of the breathtaking landscapes that embody the South Island of New Zealand.

Southern Alps seen from Lake Wanaka.

The Southern Alps / Kā Tiritiri o te Moana is a mountain range extending along much of the length of New Zealand's South Island, reaching its greatest elevations near the range's western side. The name "Southern Alps" generally refers to the entire range, although separate names are given to many of the smaller ranges that form part of it.

The Lake Toya is peaceful, especially at dawn and in the early morning beside the firework in the evening. Relax environment to be enjoyed. Lake Toya (Toyako), the third largest caldera lake in Japan, spreads out in front of Lake Toya Hot Spring. According to geologic research, this lake formed due to a gigantic eruption that occurred about 110,000 years ago, and four islands near the center of the lake were lava domes that rose and cooled about 50,000 years ago due to eruptive activity at the bottom of the lake. Lake Toya is regarded as one of Hokkaido’s three great landscapes for its beautiful lake views that change from morning to evening. This image "Morning of Lake Toya" was only one little corner of the lake that revealed its one of many beauty in the autumn.

Image of the "St. Paul's Church" was captured in 2010.

The St. Paul's Church of Strasbourg (French: Église réformée Saint-Paul or Église Saint-Paul de Strasbourg) is a major Gothic Revival architecture building and one of the landmarks of the city of Strasbourg, in Alsace, France. Strasbourg offers many wonderful sites to visit and you will be hard pressed to choose among them, but don’t miss Saint Paul’s Church which stands in Gothic Revival splendor on the south bank of an island in the center of the widest part of the River Ill.

This magnificent church was built in 1897 for the Lutheran congregation of the Imperial German Army who were billeted in Strasbourg. The graceful twin spires are 76 meters high and dominate the skyline.

If the church is wider than its length and has 19 separate entrances, it is because the army had a defined idea of what was due to each rank, so the portals were assigned from the Emperor – when he was in residence – to the generals down to the lowly foot soldiers.

The architect was Louis Muller and he based his designs loosely on the beautiful Elizabeth Church of Marburg, with the 3 huge ornate rose windows copied from the smaller one in St Thomas’ Church.

The building was damaged during the Anglo-American bombing in 1944, as were the stained glass windows. The windows suffered further damage during a terrible hailstorm in 1958 and the only remaining original ones are to be found along the nave and the eastern and southern rose windows.

To Follow Jewish Custom and Culture

In Jewish beliefs, the colour blue represents the sky, which in turn reminds people of heaven and God. There is, therefore, a strong tradition among Jewish communities of painting things blue and using blue dye to colour fabrics, especially prayer mats.

So what caused blue fever to spread throughout the entire medina? Some people believe that early Jews in Chefchaouen introduced the practice of painting walls blue, in keeping with their religious and cultural practices. Many locals say, however, that the blue-coloured walls of Chefchaouen were only found in the Jewish part of the city, the mellah, until fairly recently. Older residents say that most of Chefchaouen’s buildings within the medina used to be white during their younger years

Yuuhidai (Sunset) Point - As the name suggests, it is a famous spot in the setting sun.

Located in the corner of Shiretoko National Campsite, it is also popular as a date point for young travelers. The setting sun is beautiful in the spring and autumn when the setting sun creates a vermilion streak on the sea surface, and the winter when the sea surface covered with drift ice becomes golden.

The area around Onuma is one of the oldest natural parks in the country, where nature has been protected as a Hokkaido prefectural park since 1907 and park facilities have been maintained.

On April 17, 1917, along with Matsubara of Miho (Shizuoka Prefecture) and Yabakei (Oita Prefecture), it was selected as one of the three new scenic spots in Japan. In 1957, Onuma from various areas was called Quasi-National Park. With the support of the promotion campaign, he submitted a request to the street.

In July 1933, Onuma Park was designated as the 13th National Monument, and Onuma and Komagatake became special national protected areas.

Designated as a "quasi national park" and located only twenty kilometers north of Hakodate, Onuma Park (大沼公園, Ōnuma Kōen) is known for its picturesque, island dotted lakes and majestic volcano, Mount Komagatake at the background.

In New Zealand, you found beautiful views everywhere. There are many lookout points along the steep and winding roads. Sometimes you need to capture the image even from the moving vehicle (through the tinted glass). Here was the one. The location of this place was somewhere near Queenstown. I shot this image without hesitation or I'll miss it.
