Showing the coupler alignment. Pay no attention to the gap at the top of the buffer plate. Nothing is glued in place so it is hanging loosely in position.
The coupler on the GP35 to the right has been repositioned inboard a bit as well.

Following the 50% majority rule, identical amino acids are shaded in black, and similar amino acids are shaded in gray in column consensus residues. (B) The phylogenetic relationship of the insect CCAP receptors was generated using the Maximum Likelihood method based on the Jones et al. (1992) with frequency model [45]. The numbers at the nodes represent percentage support in 1500 bootstrap replicates. All positions containing gaps and missing data were eliminated. This phylogenetic tree is drawn to scale and the branch lengths are measured in the number of substitutions per site.

Went for a hike this morning at Highbanks, and got there early enough to catch some of that magical light. I guess August is just the time for it.
The interior stud detail piece needs to be aligned with the wall panel piece, so I place the wall panel against my "alignment block" and use that flat surface to line up the wall stud piece.
Crazy to see professional teams doing an alignment the same way as shadetree mechanics. They just use fancier tools.
Part of the series of menhirs aligned in a few fields in Carnac. Quite impressive even though we have no ideas why the people did it.

I singled out the abrupt change in colour as a target for my artistic endeavors. I thought it neat how the warm, orange glow reflecting from the clouds, and the cool blue/green was divided so clearly in both sky and water.
After sprinting up and down the beach with my camera and tripod, looking like a seagull on speed, the waves stole the show, by lining up perfectly on the colour line. I didn't photoshop this, but I didn't plan it either. It just happened.

Whalley Abbey is a Cistercian foundation, founded 1296. Initial building was slow due to lack of funding. The Abbey was closed in 1537 following the Dissolution of the Monasteries.
A 'thing' of mine is making alignments that really aren't there. A bit like making my own lay lines! Lining up doors, cavities, etc. Anyone can join up two points to make a straight line!
And doors which are ajar; I think that comes from a childhood memory of a BBC drama called 'The Secret Garden'. Sometime in the 1960's!
