while the first version was with a seed image, on the next, and then this one, I did not add a seed image to the prompt. But it appears as if AI remembered the color scheme from the first.

This MOC was intended for the preliminary round of the 2017 Bio-Cup contest here on Flickr, the prompt for which was to re-imagine a Lego set in Bionicle form. I've always thought some of the coolest System sets were from Mars Mission, and the Alien Infiltrator already has sort of a humanoid silhouette, so that was a natural choice for me. Unfortunately I was too busy to finish it in time for the contest, but I still definitely wanted to finish and post it at some point. Enjoy!

Character I have wanted to create for a while but just didnt know where to begin until i was inspired by this: www.flickr.com/photos/azaiya/8304886334/in/faves-kiagara-....

Shot this model a few months before the release for the Alien Covenant trailer. Kind of looked like it belonged in the last shower scene. Alien Covenant May 19th.

It is a bit of a gloomy image because there wasn't any sunset colors this evening, but hey.. it's all part of the art. Have a happy Saturday!

No, they're not aliens or jellyfish. These creatures are actually hanging air plants in sea urchin shells arranged on a mobile. Very cool. Photographed at the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden in the Gardener's Show House.

The rock formations in Alien World are amazing. Not that I have been to a lot of places, but I been no where that has so many different rock formations in relatively small area.

I hope to get back to Alien World in the fall if I can get my hiking back up to par. Would love to throw in KOW also. Have a great weekend.

I think this might be a Luna Moth in the making and of course it is walking across an amethyst.

O.K., based on fuel tank piece again. This one was harder to use, as it is kind of small, but I like the charismatic colour. Simple MOC again, but was fun to make.

Is the front mudguard fine? It looks even worse without it... and no piece comes to mind that would fit, even this one is just held in with friction.

I thought that Ripley did OK but fell short of stopping the franchise in its tracks so it was about time she made way for a real professional. Somehow though, now that I am here it does not seem quite so easy.

I have been looking for ages and I can't even find one of those ruddy Aliens anywhere. Perhaps she did a better job of wiping them out than I had thought?

We may be close to Area 51, but even without that, Nevada, and the California border can look quite Alien. Three shots from the Valley of Fire, and one from Rhyolite Ghost Town

I do like these flowers, strange and beautiful. There're a lot of them in my region. But these flowers were photographed in Kamchatka, Far East of Russia in 2015.

Ash: Ripley, for God's sake, this is the first time that we've encountered a species like this. It has to go back. All sorts of tests have to be made.

Ripley: Ash, are you kidding? This thing bled acid. Who knows what it's gonna do when it's dead?

Ash: I think it's safe to assume it isn't a zombie.

I was panning for macro treasures in some moss yesterday and came across these 3 spores bound together by a water drop. I thought they looked like a little alien.

I used one of my own drawings as a seed image.

While traveling on vacation with my family, we visited Mt Haleakala on Maui. Yes....the expansive dormant Crater is impressive. After all, itโ€™s big enough to hold Manhattan inside it. At 10,000 feet with 360 degree views, the site is breathtaking. Most take a panoramic or wide angle picture to capture the view. I did too. ๐Ÿ˜‰. However, my eyes were drawn to the cinder cones inside the crater. Each were over 400 feet tall formed by mini fissures within the crater over the years. I instead broke out the tele and went to work capturing what first caught my eye. The first thing my mind went to was...โ€this looks like an alien planetโ€. I took other photos showing the deep red colors that look like itโ€™s a picture of Mars.

Taming Light #22

On a distant planet the strange creatures of light gather in awe to watch the first rising of the new red star.

For new viewers: These are light refraction patterns or 'caustics' formed by a light beam passing through a shaped and textured plastic form. Colour is added into the clear plastic which modifies the way the plastic hardens further enhancing the patterns. The pattern is captured directly on to 35mm film by removing the camera lens and putting the transparent object in its place. The processed film is digitally scanned for uploading. Please note these are not computer generated images but a true analogue of the way light is refracted by the objects I create.

30 years ago today, Aliens, one of my favorite films of all time was released.

And 30 days ago, Tim Lydy, one of my favorite builders of all time, 'upgraded' my Olymous Mons display at Brickworld Chicago with his incredible Alien Queen, Xenomorph, chest burster, egg and facehugger.

I don't know if he intended to fit so well into the display, or if I subconciously made a very aliens style room ... but it certainly fit.

Definitely one of the coolest things at BW :)

Thanks Tim <3

Aliens have invaded our sim and brought all kinds of strange creatures from mythology and past eras with them!

I had no idea that the little man last night was wearing a head torch. With his blue light he looks almost Alien like. A distraction maybe.....but a fun and fascinating one.

They said they would not accept SOOC, but I hope in this case they will make an exception.

A macro photograph of my succulent plant which has decided to flower. I guess it has to compete with the geraniums!

It has suddenly burst into a mass of these alien-like flower spikes. The foliage of this particular succulent is especially fragrant. Perhaps a tad overwhelmingly fragrant. So I place it between the coconut-fragrant geranium and the Australian native mint bush, and that sorts things out.
