A little wary of the occasional Magpie and its snapping beak, the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo shows some alert/alarm by raising its beautiful and iconic yellow crest. Some wonderful memories of our boy Clarry (one of these) who we had for many years and was a loving companion.
Weather still sh*te .. another archive job I'm afraid.
It's an Impala, in case you're wondering .. at least that's what he told me he was when I signed the cheque for modelling fees ...
DSC_0203. We just left the tented camp when we found this beautiful serval cat walking close to our vehicle. It obviously was hunting and very alert and ignoring our vehicle! They are so beautiful with their great colors and long legs.

April is the beginning of the rutting season for the Impala antelope.
A male Sparrowhawk, seen in my garden, constantly alert, ready to catch it's next meal.

Either the same or another Dunnock which I only saw for the first time a month ago. Delighted to see the little one (around the same size as a robin) again and this time in a better position for a clearer picture and to appreciate more, the plumage than previously.
Another shot of Snugs intently studying the activity of the bird feeder, especially the agitated couple of Robins who are making a lot of noise and flitting about quite close to her. So now I keep her away for the moment as I suspect they may be trying to protect a nest.
Happy Caturday: something in the eyes

Brolga (Grus rubicunda)
Always good to see the Brolgas at the Western Treatment Plant. Hopefully it will be open for birding again soon.
It has been a rather wet day, The rain didn't stop Sethi from going outside where I saw him sitting on a garden box from where he can watch what is going on in our street. I'm not sure what he saw but it must have been fascinating. :)
