It is hard to capture the full depth of the cascades as one only get to view it from the top of the cliff down to the ravine. Making it looks flat at this angle.
The Agnes Falls Scenic Reserve, located in Gippsland around a 15 minute drive from the township of Toora or one hour from Wilsons Promontory.
At 59 metres (194ft), Agnes Falls are the highest single span falls in Victoria, Australia.
Meet Agnes, the newest member of our family. We adopted her Saturday, one day before Easter.
Agnes is a sweet 12 week old puppy that we picked up from a "We all need a rescue", a local animal shelter just outside of the city. She was one of 60 (yes, I said sixty) puppies that arrived at the shelter during a very short period of time. We had been passively considering adding a rescue dog to our crew, but had no defined plans. When my wife heard of the large influx of puppies she thought this might be the right time. So, while I was at work she took the kids out to the shelter to meet some pups. And amazingly they did not come home with one but waited until I had a day off to make a decision.
Agnes is a shy little girl, with wide genetic diversity. They claim her mom is part corgi, but I'm not sure about that, and she looks nothing like her mom. She also looks nothing like her brother who they claim is from the same litter. We think she will be on the smaller side when she grows up, but no one really knows. Because of the large group of pups she arrived with her human contact was limited. It's taking her time to warm up to us humans, but she loves Eva and Bruno and does whatever they do. I'm sure she will bond with us soon. Right now the nights are tough as we kennel train her and hope she perfects the bathroom only outside thing soon.
And that's the start of the story of Agnes, with lots more to come.

That's the name of the lake not my daughter's name. A short hike up from Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada.
Burton Agnes Hall built in 1598 by Sir Henry Griffith. The hall isn't open to the public, at present but the gardens are well worth a visit. The smaller flat roofed building to the left is the Norman Manor House which dates back to 1173, but was encased in brick during the seventeenth century. The tower of 12th century St Martin's church can be seen behind the old hall.

The beautiful Lake Agnes is about 3.5km hike uphill from the Lake Louise carpark in the Canadian Rockies. It’s worth every step for this stunning view with the vibrant yellow Larch Trees in fall. An added bonus is the quaint little log cabin style tea house on the lake edge.
