When you follow the Lake Agnes Trail from Lake Louise, you first pass Mirror Lake with the Big Beehive towering over it (see my previous photos), before reaching astounding Lake Agnes. What I didn't like too much were the open stairs along a rockface I had to climb just before reaching this lake - I prefer to have ground under my feet. But the view was very rewarding indeed! [Explored on 13/08/2021, #66]
Lac Agnes there in Banff National Park ... captured in the evening when everyone was gone, and had hiked back down to Lake Louise.

The burial of Agnes Amy Freeman, who died on October 30 1914.
Highgate cemetery was opened in 1839, when the existing cemeteries of London were overcrowded and unsanitary and seven big, new ones were opened outside the city centre. It is divided in the West and the East part, the East you can walk around by yourself and the West requires a guide. Both parts of the cemetery are still in use today.
Been under the cosh healthwise just lately β¦ coming out of it slowly. So another stroll through the city cemetary to remind myself that whilst there is still breath in my ageing carcass Iβm still better off than the occupants of the tombs herein.

Lake Agnes is a small mountain lake in the Banff National Park of Alberta, Canada.
It has a surface of 0.52 kmΒ² and is located approximately 3.5 km (one-way) hiking distance from Lake Louise. A teahouse is situated along the eastern shore at an elevation of 2134 metres (7002 ft). (wikipedia)
There are at least three benches in this view there along the lake, great places to sit and take in the spectacular view ... and well needed after the several mile hike, all uphill to this spot.
This is the Historic 13th Century Church of St Martin in the village of Burton Agnes Nr Bridlington in East Yorkshire ..

A classical view on Lake Agnes in the Banff National Park.
We did a fantastic march there starting from lake Louise and ending near the glaciers.
Agnes was in the first mob of cows that arrived at the farm. I instantly was drawn to her because she was the smallest and it looked like she had been banged up, so of course I'm going to want to mother her.
Turns out she didn't need my help, she was quite ok on her own with her calf. She has since put on weight and is looking good.
This is what I love about photography and editing. Agnes is not the prettiest cow but I have to admit her features lend themselves to being photogenic and I'm drawn to her when I have my camera with me.
That pronounced muzzle, her bulging eyes, the lighter distinguished colour around both, make her a great and interesting subject.
