Oh sure, it's cute to see Ava play with the cassettes until THIS happens. Never mind - they're not labelled, couldn't have been anything very important.
Day 17 - August 24 - 10.45pm
With the Closing Ceremony finishing a few minutes before, and the sounds of the last fireworks dying down, there is nothing to do except party away the last night of the Olympics.
Walking around the Sanlitun bar district, I noticed this athlete using his medal to attract some of the local girls. However, on closer inspection, it turned out to be a fake medal - obviously some random guy trying his luck. It seemed to be working!

I'm going to to try to make fake 4 x 5's; several digital images stitched together in order to emulate the quality of a 4 x 5 negative scanned at high res.

This shot was taken at the Huntsville Museum Of Art (Huntsville, Alabama) that is showcasing the amazing work of Joel Meyerowitz from his book Aftermath.
"Joel Meyerowitz spent most of the nine months after September 11, 2001 documenting the site that came to be known as Ground Zero. During that time he made over 8,500 photographs many with a large format view camera. These works form the basis of the World Trade Center Archive, part of which is being donated to the Museum of the City of New York and the rest will be taken into the Library of Congress for its permanent collection."
