This shot was taken at the Huntsville Museum Of Art (Huntsville, Alabama) that is showcasing the amazing work of Joel Meyerowitz from his book Aftermath.
"Joel Meyerowitz spent most of the nine months after September 11, 2001 documenting the site that came to be known as Ground Zero. During that time he made over 8,500 photographs many with a large format view camera. These works form the basis of the World Trade Center Archive, part of which is being donated to the Museum of the City of New York and the rest will be taken into the Library of Congress for its permanent collection."

3 weeks later after the terrible sleet.
Devastating sleet, which has been crushing trees under its weight all over the country, has caused the largest catastrophe ever to hit Slovenian forests.
According to early estimates as many as 500,000 hectares are damaged, i.e. almost half of all Slovenian forests. The total volume of fallen wood amounts to 4 million cubic metres, which equals the entire average annual harvest. What is more, since the current conditions do not allow forestry teams to estimate the damage on the spot, the estimated numbers are not final.

Scotland has been battered by more storms this week, particularly the last two days. It was still fairly choppy this morning and I got pelted with rain and almost blown over on my way to the gym. This is what it looked like in the Meadows when I walked to the museum later. Yes, working on the weekend, but luckily only for a couple of hours to train some volunteers for a new project. Then off to have lunch at our local Japanese restaurant with my boyfriend.

Result of my knee surgery. As you can see it is a monstrosity and I am not very mobile at the moment. For those who are squemish, don't read any further.
They took a strip of my hamstring tendon and fed it through my knee to replace the torn posterior cruciate tendon. My knee is swollen from my groin to my ankle and is pretty sore at the moment. Whilst I do have crutches, I can actually walk on it! The physiotherapist wanted me to walk on it less that 24 hours after surgery!
