Richmond Hill, Queens NY. Several trees and tree limbs litter the streets.
This tree brought down a power line, knocking power out to these residents.
This shot was taken at the Huntsville Museum Of Art (Huntsville, Alabama) that is showcasing the amazing work of Joel Meyerowitz from his book Aftermath.
"Joel Meyerowitz spent most of the nine months after September 11, 2001 documenting the site that came to be known as Ground Zero. During that time he made over 8,500 photographs many with a large format view camera. These works form the basis of the World Trade Center Archive, part of which is being donated to the Museum of the City of New York and the rest will be taken into the Library of Congress for its permanent collection."

Yesterday a big ass storm blew in real quick. Rain, hail, wind like you wouldn't believe. Trees were uprooted and knocked down, trailers pushed over, and the power went out for about seven hours. And the storm only lasted about twenty minutes.
My Serious Eats farewell dinner at 99 Favor Taste. We ordered all-you-can-eat hot pot and Korean barbecue for everyone, which amounted to twice as much food as we could eat. Whoooops.

It snowed immediately after the contractors installed the flooring and it's only now that it's melted that the aftermath is revealed. I bottle picker could make a fortune with the beer cans left behind. The vegetable garden is to the left of that wood border and the lawn is to the right. Difficult to determine since it's all brown.
Pretty cool to pay contractors in beer.
Though... this looks a lot like the abandonment I toured last week. Some work ahead.
