Part of the "terminal moraine" left by the tsunami overwash on Eastern Island. Many birds were buried in the debris and dug out by volunteers and FWS personnel. Unfortunately many apparently healthy chicks later died.

In the aftermath of the Kiev riots, destroyed instruments of oppression have been left discarded on the streets as a reminder of just how bad it got.
Along with the many memorials to those who gave their lives in the pursuit of their beliefs are torn up streets, burnt barricades and two destroyed mobile water cannons.
It is generally accepted that the ousted government was heavily corrupt and served its own interests rather than the interests of the people, but where does Ukraine go from here ?
Standing on these streets it will be a long time before I forget the scene, but the west forgets far to easily, the next "I'm a teenage mom" show on MTV and our fleeting attention is pulled by an ever controlling media elsewhere.
These were people, prepared to die for their beliefs, their freedoms, they deserve more than just 15 minutes of fame.

This is just a little part of the fire extinguisher disaster. We had to open both big doors to get it all out.
One of my favorite viewpoints is the clocktower.

Just realized I never did upload this.
You could say this was the prototype for the Medved vig.
...Which probably isn't uploaded on here. Ah, well.
More than one. The aftermath of graffiti, vandalism and drinking. I don't normally take pictures of vomit but I had to get a pic for this SPNow instruction 14. The people around me were giving me the best WTF looks I have ever got. Taken on our traditional new years day road trip. This year it was Southend and it was a wet miserable crappy day. So this picture just about sums that place up.
This is what Russia ended up with after Soviet regime traditions and a new government mixture. This shot was made to capture the magic moment of changing of the decades.

One last spin on the Singer before dismantling turned up this tree downed by the Nor'easter we've endured for the last two days.
Mangled cars lay buried in rubble in what remains of a residential area in Joplin, Missouri, May 25, 2011. On May 22, 2011, Joplin Missouri was devastated by an EF-5 tornado.
Shredded rubber, ripped canvas and paint scrapes the shade of multiple cars - the aftermath of Formula Drift Round 7 at Irwindale's House of Drift.
A fire over the weekend scorched a good chunk of this hill near work. Fortunately it was stopped before it did damage to the nearby homes, but the hiking trail through there is closed for now.
About 2 minutes after getting the epidural and I begin to lose control of everything below my boobs. Weird.
This van was next to the car that was completely smashed, only caught a corner of the van though.

Still trying to understand the paper negative...
Paper preflashed but no filter used to control contrast.
Image was overexposed.
I could have sit and waited for the storm to come,
but instead I got out there and brought it myself.
This is the aftermath, this is what was meant to be.
