Pre-construction Phase: ground floor. The old adult and community learning office was used during the pre-construction phase to store items of furniture awaiting collection by local charities.
This room will become an IT learning suite.

Looking right from the main entrance, a new opening has been created in the wall so you can see into the 'out of hours' library room and to the learning suite beyond. A new interview room has been created on the right.

Ladies from the Ndlovo Community come together under a tree to learn how to make patterns and sew saleable garments and uniforms. Some of the ladies walk 2-hours to get here.
The screen at the top of the stairs to the second floor (on the left in this photo), will be replaced. At the moment, the door opens straight onto the stairs which is dangerous. The new screen will create a landing area before the stairs are reached.
