It's always a treat to see the first Adonis Blues of the year. This fine looking male was on the North Downs last weekend.

had a nice evening spent 2 1/2 hrs watching these but was very sunny & wouldn't sit still then I had to contend with the wind oh my very windy but managed to get a few shots as they were going to roost catching the last rays of life

this was taken @ nearly 8pm last night

there were so many butterflies including common blue made it a bit trickier to find Adonis when in flight

新宿御苑 福寿草 Adonis ramosa

Hoy, en el paseo por la sierra de Mariola, nos hemos encontrado con un pequeño grupo de Adonis vernalis. He intentado plasmar los brillos que tiene la planta sin sobreexponer los pétalos. Para ello he utilizado el flash externo colocado sobre la zapata de la cámara controlado en modo manual, creo que una potencia de 1/40 y he subexpuesto el fondo. (_AAC3801)
