“I started working as a research assistant at Yale University School of Medicine in the Department of Internal Medicine a few weeks after finishing the postbac year at Bennington. The work that I do at Yale is focused on HIV treatment and prevention in the New Haven community. In one lab, I work with a multidisciplinary team to develop digital games aimed at decreasing the risk of HIV for at-risk youth by increasing health-positive behaviors. In another lab, I am working on a treatment trial with HIV-positive alcohol dependent patients to determine how treatment with an injectable opioid receptor blocker may cause a decrease in alcohol consumption and a subsequent increase in antiretroviral adherence.

“Working at Yale has been a great glide year experience—being part of a medical school environment allows me to shadow physicians, go to Medical Grand Rounds, and take advantage of other fantastic resources. Additionally, it helped me stay grounded and focused throughout the medical school application cycle—I am reminded every day of why I want to be a doctor. I also teach Spinning classes at Yale’s Payne Whitney Gym, which is a fun way to stay balanced and blow off steam!

“I have also been working with current Bennington College postbac students on a qualitative study regarding access to sexual health testing services for adolescent women in the Bennington community. This is a follow-up study to a survey that I did last year in Bennington on access to health services for pregnant and parenting teenaged women in the community. I have continued this line of research into my glide year because I am interested in issues of access to care that impact women in rural communities.

“At the same time that I was starting my job at Yale, I hit the ground running on the medical school application cycle. After about two exhausting months of writing and submitting numerous admissions essays, I was finally able to see the payoff of a year’s worth of hard work. Flying around the country to interview at different schools was both humbling and exciting. I quickly realized that, as a postbac student, I had the advantage of maturity and more “real life” experiences, which I believe gives nontraditional students a leg up in the admissions process.

“As my glide year is drawing to a close, I am excited to be able to report that I will be attending the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine starting this August!”

Every parent has a dream to see their children studying in one of the premier schools available in the city. The premier school not only focuses on the best education but concentrates on the overall development of the student right from education to extra-curricular activities, etc. The school concentrated on music, dance, yoga, and sports. Also, many schools added foreign languages like German or French as their second language in the curriculum. Today, we will show you how to choose the best school and get admission in step-by-step instructions.

Every year millions of parents are searching for the best school and different parents have different criteria to choose the best school.

We have compiled the data of over 1000 admission inquiries and present you with the school admission guide process 2021.

Step 1: School syllabus

Step 2: The facilities offered by the school

Step 3: School fee structure

Step 4: Opportunities created by the schools

Step 5: Finding the best schools

Step 6: Applying for admissions

Step1: School Syllabus

The first step and most important criteria to consider for the best school in syllabus followed at school. The most common question among all the parents is which board is good for their kids?

However, understanding the syllabus offering is not very easy and it requires a lot of time and effort from the parents. So, we try and simplify this for our beloved parents:

There are 5 most popular types of school syllabus in India and 2 prominent styles of teaching methodologies in preschools.

•CBSE Board Syllabus

•ICSE Board Syllabus

•IB Board Syllabus

•IGCSE Board Syllabus

•State board – State Boards of India

Playschool Syllabus in India:

•Montessori (Difference between Montessori and Playschools syllabus)

•The curriculum followed individually by the preschools themselves.

Step 2: The facilities offered by the school

Different facilities offered by the school are considered as one of the important factors for the parents to choose the school. Apart from academics, parents have voted for the importance of co-curricular activities also as one of the important value addition given at school. Be it science laboratory, arts, sports, music, swimming, yoga, or any other activities that help improve the child’s skill is valued greatly.

Step 3: School fee structure

No matter what but we as a parent want to give the best education to our children. In this fast-growing world, we want our children open to all opportunities and explore all the benefits available to them.

We as a parent always ready to pay than our capacity when it comes to providing better education to our kids.

School fee structures depending on the facilities offered by the school. The school includes a fee for lab, music, sports, and extra-curricular activities. Some schools hire trained and professional instructors in sports & music for that reason they charge extra.

So, if you are looking for your child to explore all fields and choose the one which interests him, look for a school which provides all activities but not to look for fee structure only.

Step 4: Opportunities created by the schools

Today’s kids are blessed that they are born in the digital age, and they have more opportunities to knock on their door. Some of the schools are participating in national competitions in different areas, visiting research centers, or getting a chance to interact with leaders, or getting a chance to interact with their favourite sports person on their sports annual day.

All of these are quite easy if the schools create these opportunities. An education institution is more than capable of getting these opportunities for its students.

So, parents need to check around the achievement of school, which legends visited the school, media coverage of the school came in news for any good reason in the past, or participation in the national level sports. This is one of the criteria to consider while looking for admission to any good school.

Step 5: Finding the best schools

All the points discussed above were only to find the best school for your child. Know more about the school syllabus board offered, extra-curricular activities offered by the school, facilities offered by the school, and what the school fee structure is.

Step 6: Applying for admissions

Usually, any school gives them multiple options to parents to contact the school administration for admission inquiry. One can schedule a visit or directly visit the school premises to get the admission form. The other methods are one can directly download the form from the school website and they can fill the form and mail it to the school along with all attached documents. The parents can fill the form online through the website and attached all the required documents.

Now, the parents have come to a conclusion where they have to decide which education board is good for their kids. The parents will go with the school that focuses more on studies or the school that focus on overall development.

Admission Process – Why Choose Smrti Academy?

Should you want to contact us to schedule a visit – call us or email us or just fill a form? The next option is to visit the school and fill in the application form and submit it along with all the documents. The school will review your application form and submitted documents. The school will get in touch with you to schedule a date for a readiness survey for the child and a one-on-one discussion with the parents. Once the child gets selected after a successful discussion with parents, the school will offer admission. The parents are required to submit all the due documents (if any) and school fees to confirm the seat for your child.

Nobody can indeed deny that parents are the first teacher to any child. Parents share the values with their child that works throughout his life and helps build attitudes that show his character. But, the children learn the lessons from their parents to survive in this competitive world? Repeating, the first teachers to any child is their parents, but school is as most utmost part of children's lives. School shares valuable lessons to the child in terms of knowledge, attitude, confidence, skills, growth, and development.

The school provides the knowledge to get familiar with other children, the school helps speak with children from their early age that removes the fear to get familiar and socializing with new people easily. Some school activities also teach children to become responsible citizens by assigning tasks and make them independent from an early age.

Every parent is always worried about the best school for their child to get admission to. I would recommend Smrti Academy would be the best choice for your child's education, you will get everything looking for your child’s overall development. This school offers better education, knowledge, learning methods, extracurricular activities, culture, and discipline to the students being a better responsible person in life. Academic Importance:

Academic education is the first and most important thing that helps to improve the outer knowledge of any child. English, Science, and Maths are some of the critical subjects that help you giving huge knowledge in terms of understanding. English is not an official language but it is widely considered as the common language to speak between two and it is important to get the knowledge of such languages to get confidence and become smart enough. School is the only place that brings academic knowledge to the child in terms of knowledge and skills. There are many CBSE school in the Bangalore that provides good learning methods to upgrade the skills of a child.

Learning Subjects:

To acquire better education, it is required to learn different subjects with different topics. To excel in different subjects with different topics in your grade helps you in getting better knowledge for your grades. Therefore, it is important to provide education to children because it gives you a better knowledge of different subjects. It also helps in achieving better grades in your class and also, helps in providing practical knowledge to your child and make them more responsible.

Social Development:

The school education does not help in scoring good marks in your academic subjects but the education in school also helps in providing mental and social development of your child. The social and mental development of any child is very important for making them more mature and responsible citizens. School education makes your child becomes a social responsibility in different ways. The students in a school come from different backgrounds, religions, caste, and other factors. The school education helps them to think for the better of the community, the place where the children living instead of race or religion.

Confidence Level:

School education does not only help in academic excellence, skill development, knowledge of multiple languages, or skill development. But, school education also helps in increasing the confidence level of any child. The prime reason to bring the confidence level in any child is various team-building activities and other various activities in the form of arts, dance, yoga, music, etc. to bring a major improvement in child and boost child development.

Team Work:

Friendship is not the only thing that children can learn from school. A school environment gives the child an opportunity to learn to work in a team, which is one of the most real-world skills. There are many activities carried out in the school to make a team building. Through games and projects, and even participation in after-school sports, children can learn the importance of forging relationships with each other. Brig. Gen. Fernando Fernandez, the senior Army Reserve officer in the Caribbean, was also present during the event.

“Even if you do not get recommended to one of the Academies through the regular process, you can still pursue a career as an officer through the Army Reserve. The Army Reserve gets additional nominations to West Point,” said Fernandez.

According to Fernandez, the command of the Army Reserve in United States gets 90 seats at West Point every year. Most of these seats are not filled.

Best of Luck

“I was born and lived in Pakistan in my early childhood. When I was three my family found out I was deaf. My dad decided to go to the audiologist for hearing tests and hearing aids. He wanted an implant for me but they were too expensive and we couldn’t afford it at the time. After a difficult admission process, I went to a deaf school where I learnt sign language. We used a different language to here; it was a mixture of American with the native Pakistani sign language. The standard of education was poor and it was difficult for me to understand and progress. My experience at school made me quiet and I lost all confidence in myself.

When I came to the UK, there was a chance to start afresh. I learnt British Sign Language. I no longer struggled in class, and I joined a group called DEX who really helped me. I felt involved and part of something, and I was able to gain my confidence back. I don’t think I had fully accepted my deafness before that. It is difficult sometimes; the deaf world is very small. Personally, I don’t feel I need to restrict myself by only being around deaf people. If I want to be included in the hearing world then I must show that inclusion also. I’m thankful to the teachers, tutors and BSL interpreters who have helped me throughout my education. Without them I wouldn’t be the person I am today.”

The students were provided with an overview of the US admissions process.
