The area was originally a 3 season porch. The existing deck was supported while the demolition/construction of the addition was being performed. The entire structure was removed down to the foundation. The foundation was built to match the height of the existing house. According to the supplied architectural plans, the new structure was built. The roof lines were integrated into one another, siding was blended from old to new, and the deck was attached to the new addition. The new addition was to accommodate the new kitchen. All the necessary pluming, electrical, and structural work was performed. The new kitchen featured a cathedral ceiling, sky light, oak floors, granite countertops, custom cabinetry, a teak center island and dining table.
on Sunday June 22 we hosted a party in the Pittman Addition Hydro Park. We had a band play and offered some snacks to the folks that stopped by the park. It was a beautiful day and I think everyone had a great time.

Iowa Spring Manufacturing made springs for heavy equipment and overhead doors. From the size of the crane in the back and the runners under the front of the building there is more history to this place than just springs. The rail road went right by the place untill it became a bike trail. The building sits now letting the vines and trees take over. The manufacturing jobs seem to be in North Carolina now.
The framing work is done, showing where the two story addition will be as well as the enclosed patio and new covered patio.
June 2009, New Lowell ON. I would love to know when they plan to burn it down. It'd be cool to watch/photograph.
