As I have continued to consume photography related content at a ridiculous rate, I feel like I have continued to add tools to my arsenal of editing techniques, while removing old, useless ones. I did my best imitation of an Adam Gibbs style edit, and I am really liking how this looks.
This is yet another image that I had left to rot in my archives because I just didn't know what to do with it. If you look closely enough you're sure to find the many issues because I still didn't understand how to use proper shooting techniques, but I'm incredibly happy with the post processing nonetheless.
Another addition to my microscale Star Wars creations.
I'm quite pleased how this turned out and the fact that I had some time to build in the midst of my currently busy schedule. I intend to use this little guy in a future build or two...
A great addition to any spooky setting this bookcase is perfect for Halloween.

2021,22,23 were very rough years for our family. With the loss of our patriarch and matriarch along with both brothers all within 18 months was devastating to us. In this picture are the great grands and grands of those four people. It filled my heart with so much joy seeing them at our '25 family reunion on the paternal side of my family. We are so spread out now so moments like these are even more special. The se children were fortunate to see each other in 2024 at a family graduation event, so when they saw each other again in '25 they had a blast together. Looking forward to seeing the new addition to the family in a few months when I travel to Miami for our next cruise adventure. [Random Thought 3.12.26}

The Communs stand on the western edge of the park. opposite the New Palace. The purpose and name of the two buildings corresponded to the model of the Grand Commun at the Palace of Versailles. As there, built in direct relation to the Palace, they also served as accommodation for the King's guests and officials as well as for their servants, in addition to housing his kitchens and other utility rooms. Carl von Gontard erected these representative buildings between 1766 and 1769 according to designs by the architect Jean Laurent Legeay, which he improved. Large double flight of steps, colonnades, domes and rich ornamentation do not reveal their former practical purpose. Their connection via the colonnaded arch with the Triumphal Gate makes them a unified whole and gives the New Palace an effective counterpart distancing it from the uninhabited wooded areas that adjoin even further to the west. Today the Communs house institutes of the University of Potsdam.

In addition to its usual sudsy beverages, A-B has begun producing hand-santizer to make up for all the paranoid idiots hoarding the stuff. The contents of these cars may very well be part of the process that ensures another couple thousand bottles go to the folks that really need it...i.e., hospitals.
In addition to the work north of Cherryvale, this SKOL manifest had a pickup from just west of the diamond. Here they are shoving back onto that cut before putting their train back together, and heading off to the east.
An oddball addition to the TM Travel fleet is this local Ex Arriva Yorkshire E400 Trident, numbered 1400 in the TM fleet. It is seen here operating the 218 service which operates from Sheffield (in Yorkshire!) and pictured at Chatsworth house in the neighbouring county of Derbyshire before it makes its way over to Bakewell.
I noticed that the 218 services changes have resulted in each bus coming to Chatsworth house bar a couple first thing in the morning and last thing at night. So I was glad to see this one arrive and not miss Chatsworth out. It has also received a plain red livery when it joined TM Travel which different to the previous TM livery, it was a notable darker shade of red previously. The new livery I definitely prefer despite the simplicity!
This was pictured in the twilight with the Christmas lights up and creating a nice festive atmosphere. I almost used this for the Christmas upload, however the bus obstructed the view of the lit columns a tad too much!

Go Ahead London have bought 3 ex-East Yorkshire Caetano Levante coaches to add to their fleet for upcoming rail blocks. Eventually, these will replace some of VC1-VC6 but for now remain as add ons to the fleet.
VC8 paid a visit to AL after having been painted into the cream and purple "Wimbledon Tennis" livery which is done as part of a contract with them during the tennis season. I like the way thr purple stripe curves down with the bodywork.

This is the newest addition to my garden. I spotted this Gazania at our local nursery for $2 and decided on the spot that I had to have it. I love the colour of this one. This is taken with my 75-300 mm lens and the 36 mm Kenko macro extension tube.
The year in review............once again, I added more than I planned, but oh well.............I will do better in 2021, lol!

Hooch is the most recent addition to our family. We rescued him from a kill shelter here in NJ. He is about 6-years old and golden through and through.
Folks, a word of advice, if your dog (and not just Goldens) doesn't fit into your life style any longer and you need to get rid of him or her please, please, please DO NOT drop them off at a kill shelter. You have two other options, find a shelter that does not kill your dog if no one else wants them or contact one of the hundreds of dog rescue organizations in the country. They will most certainly find a "forever" home for the dog that you used to love. And do us all a favor and before you decide to get another pet make damn certain that you have 10-20 years to dedicate to loving and caring for it.

Wat Suthat Thepphawararam is a royal temple in Bangkok, Thailand. It is a royal temple of the first grade, one of ten such temples in Bangkok. There are 23 in the whole of Thailand. Construction was begun by King Rama I in 1807. Further construction and decorations were carried out by King Rama II, who also assisted, but the temple was not completed until the reign of King Rama III in 1847. This temple contains the Buddha statue Phra Sri Sakyamuni, which was moved from a temple in Sukhothai province. Sukhothai was the capital of the first kingdom of Siam in the 13th and 15th centuries. Twenty-eight Chinese pagodas are placed on the lower terrace of the base, signifying the twenty-eight Buddhas born on this earth. In 2005, the temple was submitted to UNESCO for consideration as an addition to the World Heritage List. The viharn of Wat Suthat is one of the oldest surviving buildings from the Rattanakosin era. It contains the main Buddha statue of the Wat. The Phra Si Sakyamuni is an eight meter high bronze Buddha statue. The temple is beautiful and is not inferior to the Grand Palace. The big advantage that you can take pictures inside and it is wonderfully quiet.
The temple complex officially called Wat Suthat Thepphawararam is one of the largest in Bangkok and covers 10 hectares. The viharn of Wat Suthat is one of the oldest surviving buildings from the Rattanakosin era. It contains the main Buddha statue of the Wat. There is an 800 year old Sukhothai Buddha statue standing 8 meters high in a demure Mara pose. It was cast in Sukhothai some 800 years ago and was brought to Bangkok by riverboat from an abandoned temple in Sukhothai. The Phra Si Sakyamuni is an eight meter high bronze Buddha statue. Photo of one of the entrances of Wat Suthat Thepphawararam.
In addition to fishing, locals grow vegetables and fruit in large gardens that float on the surface of the lake. The floating garden beds are formed by extensive manual labor. The farmers gather up lake-bottom weeds from the deeper parts of the lake, bring them back in boats and make them into floating beds in their garden areas, anchored by bamboo poles. These gardens rise and fall with changes in the water level, and so are resistant to flooding. The constant availability of nutrient-laden water results in these gardens being incredibly fertile.
. . . In addition to "dancing deer" at my cabin, I now can claim to have a famous cartoon character in residence! Imagine my surprise when my trail cam captured this cutie coming in for a landing on my squirrel feeder! Now if I can just get Bullwinkle the Moose to show up . . .
Notice how flying squirrels use their tail as a rudder, and the flaps of skin on each side between their arms and legs as sails!

Avon Park City Hall, located at 110 E Main Street, is a historic municipal building constructed between 1928 and 1934 as a hallmark of Central Florida’s civic expansion. It stands as one of the contributing landmarks of the Avon Park Historic District, which was officially listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on March 22, 1990.,
Architectural Design
Style: The building is a classic Neoclassical masterpiece.
Architects: It was designed by noted architects W.J. Heim and John McMichael.
Key Features: The facade features grand structural columns, symmetric brickwork, and a formal entryway.
The Basement: Uniquely for the flat terrain and high-water tables of Florida, the building includes a functional basement level.
Construction and Growth
The Boom Era: Construction began in 1928, shortly after the City of Avon Park officially incorporated in 1926.
The Depression: Completion took six years (stretching into 1934), due to the economic constraints of the Great Depression.
Modern Expansion: The city expanded and upgraded the building through dedicated preservation and renovation projects executed between 1992 and 2015 under restoration architect Terry A. Hunter.
Civic Significance
The City Hall serves as the central administrative hub for the "City of Charm". It accommodates the city council chambers, municipal leadership, and critical utility management operations. Over the decades, it has stood at the center of the town's historical milestones, including its ongoing downtown revitalization and centennial celebrations.

Kinkaku-ji's history dates to 1397, when the villa was purchased from the Saionji family by shōgun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, and transformed into the Kinkaku-ji complex. When Yoshimitsu died, the building was converted into a Zen temple by his son, according to his wishes.
The building was rebuilt in 1955. The name Kinkaku is derived from the gold leaf that the pavilion is covered in. Gold was an important addition to the pavilion because of its underlying meaning. The gold employed was to mitigate and purify any pollution or negative thoughts and feelings towards death.[9] Other than the symbolic meaning behind the gold leaf, the Muromachi period heavily relied on visual excesses.[10] With the focus on the Golden Pavilion, how the structure is mainly covered in that material, creates an impression that stands out because of the sunlight reflecting and the effect the reflection creates on the pond.
