For the last 12 years, there's one late Spring event that always sends me on a pilgrimage of sorts up to Splinter Hill Bog to see the wild orchids while they are briefly in bloom! Our more local Pitcher Plant bogs don't seem to quite have the perfect soil for them to make much of a showing at all, but they thrive at Splinter Hill!
Yesterday was gorgeous and cool, the perfect day to search for these tiny beauties amid countless thousands of Pitcher Plants!

My rainbow haired tbl girl is coming along nicely. Looking like rain soon, so I may be done for today.. Waah!
These are mini pumpkins that I grew myself (except for the tiny orange pumpkins which are fake). They started from seeds I put into the compost. I like that some grew with green stripes and some grew with yellow.
