one of the benefits of working on audio projects is being able to justify splurging on audio test equipment that is also great for parties!
(note the "uhh what do i have in my box that will convert mono 1/4 to stereo 1/8?" adapter party)

My solution for vivitar flash and e-bay triggers.
The sender is modded with an antenna. I prefer a piece of flexible wire - it is easy to pack in my back. Range about 40 meters which is about doble range compared to my sender without an arial.
The receiver is modded as SnapperOrgans has described in this discussion: www.flickr.com/groups/strobist/discuss/72157600074580861/
Finally I have removed all wires and velded wires directly from the receiver to the hotshoe of the vivitar. Polarity was fixed by trial and error. The wires are attached to the side of the vivitar with gaffers tape, and the reciever is attached with velcro.
It works - no problems with wires, bad connections and the flashes are always ready for use. I have almost none misfires.
I have three vivitars modded this way - one with blue wires, one with red and the last with mixed colors blue and red. In this way it is easy to identify each flash from the others.

The Miranda AXM adapter allows Exakta lenses with auto diaphragms to be used on Miranda bodies with front shutter release. The lens is rotated ninety degrees, so the focus and aperture scale are facing right instead of up, but otherwise, it's a simple and effective means of using classic Exakta mount lenses on a more conventional body.
This is my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX5. I needed something more portable then my dSLR and after A LOT of research, this is what I decided on.
The strap is a copy of Gordy's Strap design, but made by me with a few of my own customizations. I like the Gordy's Straps, but I couldn't justify the cost, as well as the wait. I'm so impatient. Total cost for this strap was about $15, max.
Even though this camera has a 24mm wide end, I have the adapter tube and add-on wide-angle lens on it's way. This combo will give me the 35mm equivalent of a 18mm wide-angle!

Been noticing with the Voigtlander Close Focus adapter, I'm lazy and forget to bottom out the flange for infinity focus shots like this, if you zoom into the beautiful distant trees.
I'm just doing my daily workout to up miles walked until I can get into the field. Chance to take walking photos and observe results at home. Sucks to go on a forty acre walk and get home with photos out of focus. Here I'm back to basics, f11 with infinity mark at right scale 11. Yosemite is a month away and I've gotten so rusty.

Meyer-Optik's Primotar 3.5/50mm with suitable mount(s) seems to be a little bit hard to get objective. Maybe I paid too much at Evilbay for this far-from-pristine exemplar, but time is money. too. So I didn't want to spend weeks in auctions.
Primotar is some kind of Tessar copy, I believe. The colors are, however, said to be more pleasant. Some day I'll have experiences of my own:)

Zeiss lenses for the Miranda? Why not?
The Miranda system featured many adapters that allowed the use of many different lens systems on the Miranda bodies.
The PM (for Praktica Mount) adapter allows the use of manual and preset M42 lenses. Since the Miranda has a short back focus distances the adapters allow focus to infinity in most cases.
Miranda produced adapters for Nikon, Exakta, and Praktica mounts. Even one for Leica threadmount lenses, although these could only be used for close up work.
The PM adapter seems to be the most common, and probably the most useful.
Here I've shown it used to mount a Zeiss Tessar lens. Next to the camera is a Meyer Optik Oreston, which is another great m42 lens.
www.amazon.de/Adapter-Konverter-RJ45-Ethernet-Netzwerk/dp... , I do not recommend with the drivers as of writing at least.
