Found these Joe's during the summer holiday last year. The Mountie, loose Joe's and Sigma Duke were from Gent and Amsterdam. The rest from the internet.

A piece I made for a cardcontest about Sinterklaas (Saint Nicolas, the guy they made Santaclaus of later on). They still celebrate it here in the Netherlands, and it's my favourite feastday :D It's with a lot of presents and black guys wearing old spanish trousers, a lot of fun ;)

Fallschirmjagers wore distinctive scarves to identify their battalions and to demonstrate their 'elite-ness'. I took these photos to illustrate how silk ribbon could be used to represent one type of scarf.
Got this guy in the mail yesterday. He's a vintage Joe from 1964 made in Canada. Have a few of these guys, but I looked forever to get a PH Joe with black hair :)

I've got some old GI Joe figures that are in rather rough condition. I call them my Franken-Joes. This was an experiment to see if I could turn them into something worth photographing. I think, by turning the photos to B&W that I will be able take some decent Vintage looking photos.
These are figures and uniforms from Hasbro's Timeless Collection. In this case, the uniforms are from the Then & Now set.
There are a lot of odd colors in the Timeless T&N Set, but the black and white photography seems to make that a lot less noticeable. Now I just need to spend a little bit more time setting up the figures for the next photo session. I'm calling this a success!

DML figure, grey shirt and Thompson. The suit and tie are from a 'Dr Who' Dalek Zec figure (the 12" line was pretty good, shame it's stopped now). The hat is from a fairly cheap Indiana Jones figure (I bought two, just for the hats!)
I see lonely hearts adverts as an example of supplication – a humble entreaty for love. Advertising your need for love in the Wolverhampton Chronicle is certainly humble.
"Smoke grenades are canister-type grenades used as ground-to-ground or ground-to-air signaling devices, target or landing zone marking devices, or as screening devices for unit movements. The reaction is exothermic and grenade casings will often remain scalding hot for some time even after the grenade is no longer emitting smoke."
