I brought my bike along for the horseback riding so right after we were done, the girls shuttled me up for round two at Stewart Creek. I wanted to see what “Boris” & “Wheelchair” was all about. You can see Boris in the video and sadly it hasn’t seeing a lot of traffic, very overgrown in areas and a couple of trees down along the way. After I was done I opted to just go back and get my revenge on “There’s Willies” & “Spooner” instead of “Wheelchair”. But the girls were hot and starving so we changed plans and I was gonna go for a sunset ride later on. Unfortunately a thunderstorm materialized out of thin air later on and I wasn’t gonna make the same mistake twice. So that was it for Christina Lake riding.

My SJ1000 housing attached to the modified suction cup that is actually bolted to this removable rubber pad. The whole setup is very, very light weight.
A modified suction cup that was added to my HJC helmet. This same mount works well with many other cameras, too. The camera is light weight enough that it does not hinder the helmet by weight at all.

Personally, I try to use a tether on all action cams. The heat syncs do not heat up enough to cause any melting problems to this small rubber band at all.
We didn’t even let the girls recover from their Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt and had them already climbing another mountain. They love sleeping on top of mountains and we promised them to do a lot more of that. @laura.j66 wanted to book a night in these cabins the minute she discovered them when we moved here but they were solid booked for the entire winter. Then a couple weeks back she happened to just check again and saw a single night cancelation and jumped on it. She prepped everything for us and I made sure that everyone and everything made it safely up to the Cabin. We were expecting a winter storm for the entire time we were on the mountain but it didn’t roll in until the middle of the night. So after setting up the cabin, getting a fire going and having setup the sleeping area I went for a quick sunset rip and came to join the kids for some sledding. Games and chatting late into the night and then off to bed. It was a bit of a rough night, the wood burning stove only had two settings: Hell Inferno or Elsa’s Castle. Everyone slept maybe 2 hours tops but we managed to hike off the mountain all crumbled up on 20 - 40cm of fresh pow! My heart was bleeding a bit.

This was the heel plate off a Mongoose roller blade skate. The rubber is heavy for shock resistance. I'll tap it out for a 1/4 X 20" set screw for mounting the Mobius camera (or others). The back end has two holes to put a bolt through and lock this down.

The rubber pad has Velcro sewn to the back side of it. It hooks onto the loop pile that is applied to my sidecar body.
I modified the suction cup to mount my SJ1000 camera to this rubber pad. The pad has sticky Velcro backing sewn to the rubber. I will put the felt Velcro where I want to mount this camera mount and it will adhere to the surface well. Although I used a suction cup mount for this project, as GoPro tripod adapter could have just as easily been used, instead. I have 3 of these adapted pads, so I can swap out cameras on the various mounts in a hurry.
