As you fly over the midwest, you can see a patchwork of farmland, roads, and rivers creating right angles and natural curves across the earth. Perhaps that’s why I enjoy this photo so much, it reminds me of the mixture of manmade and natural shapes. The weathered run off from the rivets just adds a little pizazz too.
I have always loved the more abstracted shapes that you can find in architecture. 535 North Michigan Avenue has the repeating bay window patterns that when viewed from an angle are always just spectacular.
Am Vizinalbahnradweg in der Tirschenreuther Teichpfanne zwischen Wiesau und Tirschenreuth steht die Himmelsleiter, eine innovative Aussichtsplattform, entworfen vom Architekten Peter Brückner. Von dort hat man einen gigantischen Panoramablick in die Weite der oberpfälzer Landschaft, aber auch nach untern auf den Radweg.
