Looking straight up at this urban building, I wanted to capture how modern architecture creates unexpected geometries in our cities. The curved arrangement of windows and structural elements forms an abstract pattern against the dark sky, transforming a familiar urban structure into something more mysterious and compelling. The black and white treatment emphasizes the pure architectural forms and the dramatic interplay of lines and space.

frame 1 ~ Powell Center double exposure
This is a double exposure shot over the indoor balcony at the Powell Center building in Clearwater where my Health Center is. I always look at the design of this building when I'm on a doctor's visit and love the mid-century style, even though it's probably from the 1980s or later.

~Week 5: "Surrealism"
Walker Court in the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO), Toronto, Canada. I thought I'd use a real life approach for this week's 'surrealism' theme. Some very interesting contemporary architectural structures from the brilliant works of Frank Gehry.

A close-up shot of the Maastoren in Rotterdam, showcasing the geometric precision and modern architectural style of one of the city's tallest structures. The contrasting light and shadow reveal the building's striking patterns and textures, making this image not only a study of architecture but also a touch of abstract art. Captured in black and white to emphasize the linear composition and minimalist elegance.
