Another photo of Centre Point, a Grade 11 listed landmark skyscraper in central London. Currently under reconstruction. Original architect: George Marsh of R. Seifert and Partners. Original construction completed in 1966.

I took a rather boring and cluttered image in a forest near my hometown Patras, Greece.

 

Maybe it wouldn’t be so boring though if there was anything to show the scale of these enormous trees but it’s pretty hard to get away from cluttered in the dense forest there.

 

So I decided to mimic the effect of in-camera panning by using the motion blur filter in photoshop to blur the image in the same direction as the strong lines of the trees.

 

To add a little something extra I tried to reveal a part of the original image without the blur.

An intentional movement experiment with a gloriously backlit crabapple tree last October. What do you think? I love abstracts but they are challenging!
