I really liked the shapes and patterns of these leaves. The way the sun was hitting them created a more abstract appearance with the contrasting light and dark areas.
One often finds the most amazing works of art in nature.
This is the bark of a Stone Pine, quite common in the Cape, South Africa.
The pattern and beautiful red tones had caught my eye....

((ستبني عالمك التجريدي السعيد بعيدا عن تلك المدن المتهالكة..
بين أغصان شكلت نفسها على شكل قلب
أو أوراق رسمت نفسها كفراشة سعيدة
أو طيرين فردا أجنحتهما فشكلا تجريدا لملاك طائر
ستبني ذلك العالم من جديد .. فتخرج من الحياة الدنيا بحد ذاتها .. وتدخل في المفهوم الحقيقي للحياة ..))

في عالم التجريد لا أصوات تحد من طلاقة المعنى .. ولا قواعد تربط التعبير بالقوالب .. بل خطوط وتداعيات تطلق الروح من راحة التفكير وضرورات الإثبات .. وتدخل بها بعد ذلك في حيز التبصر ..

مزيج غريب من تلك الخيالات مازال يزور ذهني كلما أغمضت عيني .. فأراني طائرا .. وأراني زخرفة .. وأراني ظلا يعرش على حائط ملون .. وأراني خطوطا حرة لا تكلفها الدنيا سخافة التعبير ..

في الصباح يغزوني وابل من تجريد .. فتزورني الزخرفة .. وتملأ روحي المنمنمات .. وتشبعني تلك التعريشات التي لا تنتهي حتى تصنع مني شبكة من التغريد المتواصل والتجريد المستمر ..

حتى الحروف لها تجريد.في بعض الأحيان .. لكن تجريدها بلا غاية مرئية بل بألف معنى مدفون..

أكوام النفايات قد تصنع تجريدا أيضا .. لكنه تجريد قاتم .. لا تراه إلا عين الحزين..

أسوأ أنواع التجريد هو ما تم حياكته بأكوام الجثث .. وهو الذي يتم تشكيله بفائض المعنى وفائض الحزن وفائض القسوة..
